Auch wenn vielerorts gemeint, daß solches weder von einem getan, noch von Noblen gelobt wird, erzählen uns Geschichten und Worte des Buddhas, Gepflogenheiten unter Bestrebten, den was and Verdiensten mag wohl mehr ansporn und Freude für viele entfachen, als wenn jemand seinen bisher größten, ersten und letzten Sieg erklärt?

So selten man mit wahren Siegen in Kontakt kommen kann, mag man vielleicht diesen Kontakt für jene, die es Vermögen sich mitzuerfreuen, und damit vielleicht kurz danach, selben Verdienst errungen, oder darüber hinaus, hier teilen. So ist dieses hiermit der Stromgewinnerstrang.

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

Da ging Anathapindika, der Haushälter, umringt von 500 Laienanhängern, zum Befreiten, und mit Ankunft, sich vor ihm verneigt, setzte sich an eine Seite. So sprach der Befreite zum Ehrw. Sariputta: "Sariputta, wenn Ihr von einem Haushälter, gekleidet in Weiß, wißt, das er bezähmt, in Begriffen der fünft Ausübungsregeln, ist, und er willentlich, ohne Schwierigkeiten, ohne Abmühen, vier angenehme geistige Aufenthalte, im Hier und Jetzt, erlangen kann, dann, wenn er möchte, mag er über sich selbst behaupten: 'Hölle ist beendet, Tierschoße sind beendet; der Zustand von Hungrigen Schatten ist beendet, Zustände der Entbehrung, der Armut, die schlechten Ströme sind beendet! Ich bin ein Stromgewinner, standfest, niemals wieder für die Zustände des Elend vergesehen, zum Selbsterwachen ausgerichtet!'

Gerne wird irgend wann vielleicht aus diesen fernen Tagen, lange ist es her, und doch in keinem Verhältnis der unabschätzbaren Zeit zuvor, erzählt, wenn immer Erinnerung aufkommen mag.

Gihi Sutta: The Householder

Then Anathapindika the householder, surrounded by about 500 lay followers, went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, having bowed down to him, sat to one side. So the Blessed One said to Ven. Sariputta: "Sariputta, when you know of a householder clothed in white, that he is restrained in terms of the five training rules and that he obtains at will, without difficulty, without hardship, four pleasant mental abidings in the here & now, then if he wants he may state about himself: 'Hell is ended; animal wombs are ended; the state of the hungry shades is ended; states of deprivation, destitution, the bad bourns are ended! I am a stream-winner, steadfast, never again destined for states of woe, headed for self-awakening!'

"Now, in terms of which five training rules is he restrained?

"There is the case where a disciple of the noble ones abstains from taking life, abstains from taking what is not given, abstains from illicit sex, abstains from lying, abstains from distilled & fermented drinks that cause heedlessness.

"These are the five training rules in terms of which he is restrained.

"And which four pleasant mental abidings in the here & now does he obtain at will, without difficulty, without hardship?

"There is the case where the disciple of the noble ones is endowed with verified confidence in the Awakened One: 'Indeed, the Blessed One is worthy & rightly self-awakened, consummate in knowledge & conduct, well-gone, an expert with regard to the world, unexcelled as a trainer for those people fit to be tamed, the Teacher of divine & human beings, awakened, blessed.' This is the first pleasant mental abiding in the here & now that he has attained, for the purification of the mind that is impure, for the cleansing of the mind that is unclean.

"Furthermore, he is endowed with verified confidence in the Dhamma: 'The Dhamma is well-expounded by the Blessed One, to be seen here & now, timeless, inviting verification, pertinent, to be realized by the wise for themselves.' This is the second pleasant mental abiding in the here & now that he has attained, for the purification of the mind that is impure, for the cleansing of the mind that is unclean.

"Furthermore, he is endowed with verified confidence in the Sangha: 'The Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples who have practiced well... who have practiced straight-forwardly... who have practiced methodically... who have practiced masterfully — in other words, the four pairs, the eight individuals [1] — they are the Sangha of the Blessed One's disciples: worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality, worthy of offerings, worthy of respect, the incomparable field of merit for the world.' This is the third pleasant mental abiding in the here & now that he has attained, for the purification of the mind that is impure, for the cleansing of the mind that is unclean.

"Furthermore, he is endowed with virtues that are appealing to the noble ones: untorn, unbroken, unspotted, unsplattered, liberating, praised by the wise, untarnished, leading to concentration. This is the fourth pleasant mental abiding in the here & now that he has attained, for the purification of the mind that is impure, for the cleansing of the mind that is unclean.

"These are the four pleasant mental abidings in the here & now that he obtains at will, without difficulty, without hardship.

"Sariputta, when you know of a householder clothed in white, that he is restrained in terms of the five training rules and that he obtains at will, without difficulty, without hardship, four pleasant mental abidings in the here & now, then if he wants he may state about himself: 'Hell is ended; animal wombs are ended; the state of the hungry shades is ended; states of deprivation, destitution, the bad bourns are ended! I am a stream-winner, steadfast, never again destined for states of woe, headed for self-awakening!'


Seeing the danger in hells,
   the wise would shun evils,
   would shun them,
taking on the noble Dhamma.
You shouldn't kill living beings
   existing, striving;
shouldn't grasp what isn't given.
Content with your own wife,
don't delight in the wives of others.
You shouldn't drink drinks,
distilled, fermented,
that confuse the mind.
Recollect
the self-awakened one.
Think often
of the Dhamma.
Develop a mind
useful, devoid of ill will,
for the sake of the heavenly world.
When hoping for merit,
provide gifts first
to those peaceful ones, ideal,
to whom what is offered, given,
becomes abundant [in fruit].

I will tell you of those peaceful ones,
   Sariputta.
Listen to me.
In a herd of cattle,
whether black, white,
ruddy, brown,
dappled, uniform,
or pigeon gray:
if a bull is born —
   tame, enduring,
consummate in strength,
& swift —
people yoke him to burdens,
regardless of his color.
In the same way,
wherever one is born
among human beings —
   noble warriors, brahmans,
   merchants, workers,
   outcastes, or scavengers —
if one is tame, with good practices,
righteous, consummate in virtue,
a speaker of truth, with conscience at heart,
   one
who's abandoned    birth & death,
completed       the holy life
put down       the burden,
done          the task
   fermentation-free,
gone beyond         all dhammas,
through lack of clinging   unbound:

   offerings to this spotless field
   bear an abundance of fruit.

But fools,    unknowing,
dull,       uninformed,
give gifts outside
and don't come near the good.
While those who do   come near the good
   — regarded as enlightened,
      wise —
whose trust in the One Well-gone
   has taken root,
   is established & firm:
they go to the world of the devas
or are reborn here in good family.
   Step by step
   they reach
   Unbinding
      : they
      who are wise."

[៧៩] គ្រានោះ អនាថបិណ្ឌិកគហបតី មានឧបាសកប្រមាណប្រាំរយជាបរិវារ ចូលទៅគាល់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ លុះចូលទៅដល់ហើយ ក៏ថ្វាយបង្គំព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ រួចអង្គុយក្នុងទីសមគួរ។ លំដាប់នោះ ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ បានត្រាស់នឹងព្រះសារីបុត្តដ៏មានអាយុថា ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត ពួកអ្នកគួរដឹងនូវគ្រហស្ថនីមួយ ដែលស្លៀកស មានការងារសង្រួម ក្នុងសិក្ខាបទទាំង ៥ ប្រការផង បានតាមប្រាថ្នា បានមិនលំបាក បានមិនក្រ នូវការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត​ជាសុខ ក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិក ដ៏ខ្ពងខ្ពស់ទាំង ៤ ផង កាលបើគ្រហស្ថនោះ ប្រាថ្នាព្យាករខ្លួនឯង ដោយខ្លួនឯងថា អាត្មាអញអស់នរកហើយ អស់កំណើតតិរច្ឆានហើយ អស់បិត្តិវិស័យហើយ អស់អបាយទុគ្គតិវិនិបាតហើយ អាត្មាអញ ជាសោតាបន្នបុគ្គល មិនមានការធ្លាក់ចុះជាធម្មតា ជាបុគ្គលទៀង មានសេចក្តីត្រាស់ដឹងទៅខាងមុខ។ គ្រហស្ថដែលមានការងារសង្រួម ក្នុងសិក្ខាបទទាំង ៥ ប្រការ តើដូចម្តេច។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត អរិយសាវក ក្នុងសាសនានេះ ជាអ្នកវៀរចាកបាណាតិបាត ១ វៀរចាកអទិន្នាទាន ១ វៀរចាកកាមេសុមិច្ឆាចារ ១ វៀរចាកមុសាវាទ ១ វៀរចាកសុរាមេរយមជ្ជប្បមាទដ្ឋាន ១។ គ្រហស្ថ ជាអ្នក​មានការងារសង្រួម ក្នុងសិក្ខាបទទាំង ៥ នេះ។ គ្រហស្ថ ជាអ្នកបានតាមប្រាថ្នា បានមិនលំបាក បានមិនក្រ នូវការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត ជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ទាំង ៤ តើដូចម្តេច។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត អរិយសាវក ក្នុងសាសនានេះ ប្រកបដោយសេចក្តីជ្រះថ្លា មិនញាប់ញ័រក្នុងព្រះពុទ្ធថា ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ អង្គនោះ ទ្រង់ឆ្ងាយចាកកិលេស ទ្រង់ត្រាស់ដឹងដោយប្រពៃ បរិបូណ៌ដោយវិជ្ជា និងចរណៈ ជាព្រះសុគត ជ្រាបច្បាស់នូវត្រៃលោក ប្រសើរបំផុត ទ្រង់ទូន្មាននូវបុរស ដែលគួរទូន្មានបាន ជាគ្រូនៃទេវតា និងមនុស្សទាំងឡាយ ត្រាស់ដឹងនូវអរិយសច្ចធម៌ លែងវិលត្រឡប់មកកាន់ភពថ្មីទៀត ដូច្នេះ។ នេះជាការសម្រេចសម្រាន្តជាសុខ ក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ទី ១ ដែលអរិយសាវកនោះ បានជួបប្រទះហើយ នាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់បរិសុទ្ធ ឲ្យបរិសុទ្ធ និងនាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់ផូរផង់ ឲ្យផូរផង់។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត មួយទៀត អរិយសាវកប្រកបដោយសេចក្តីជ្រះថ្លា មិនញាប់ញ័រក្នុងព្រះធម៌ថា ធម៌ដែលព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគសំដែងហើយ ដោយប្រពៃជាធម៌ដែលព្រះអរិយបុគ្គល គប្បីឃើញច្បាស់ដោយខ្លួនឯង ជាធម៌ឲ្យផលមិនរង់ចាំកាល ជាធម៌គួរហៅបុគ្គលដទៃ ឲ្យចូលមកមើលបាន ជាធម៌គប្បីបង្អោនចូលមកទុកក្នុងខ្លួន ជាធម៌ដែលវិញ្ញូជន គប្បីដឹងដោយខ្លួនឯង។ នេះជាការសម្រេចសម្រាន្តជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន ដ៏ប្រកបដោយចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ទី២ ដែលអរិយសាវកនោះ បានជួបប្រទះហើយ នាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់បរិសុទ្ធ ឲ្យបរិសុទ្ធ និងនាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់ផូរផង់ ឲ្យផូរផង់។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក ប្រកបដោយសេចក្តីជ្រះថ្លា មិនញាប់ញ័រក្នុងព្រះសង្ឃថា ពួកសាវករបស់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ ប្រតិបត្តិដោយប្រពៃ ពួកសាវករបស់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ ប្រតិបត្តិដោយត្រង់ ពួកសាវករបស់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ ប្រតិបត្តិដើម្បីព្រះនិពា្វន ពួកសាវករបស់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ ប្រតិបត្តិដ៏សមគួរ ពួកសាវកនោះ បើរាប់ជាគូនៃបុរស មាន ៤ បើរាប់រៀងជាបុរសបុគ្គល មាន ៨ ពួកសាវករបស់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគនុ៎ះ លោកគួរទទួលនូវចតុប្បច្ច័យ ដែលគេនាំមកបូជា លោកគួរទទួលនូវអាគន្តុកទាន លោកគួរទទួលនូវទក្ខិណាទាន ជាបុគ្គលដែលសត្វលោក គប្បីធ្វើអញ្ជលិកម្ម ជាបុញ្ញក្ខេត្តដ៏ប្រសើរ របស់សត្វលោកដូច្នេះ។ នេះជាការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត ជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ទី៣ ដែលអរិយសាវកនោះ បានជួបប្រទះហើយ នាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់បរិសុទ្ធឲ្យបរិសុទ្ធ និងនាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់ផូរផង់ ឲ្យផូរផង់។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក ប្រកបដោយសីលទាំងឡាយ ជាទីគាប់ចិត្ត របស់ព្រះអរិយៈ ជាសីលមិនដាច់ មិនធ្លុះ មិនពពាល មិនពព្រុស ជាសីលរបស់មនុស្សអ្នកជា ជាសីលដែលអ្នកប្រាជ្ញសរសើរ ជាសីលមិនប៉ះពាល់ដោយតណ្ហា និងទិដ្ឋិ ជាសីលញុំាងសមាធិឲ្យប្រព្រឹត្តទៅបាន។ នេះជាការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត ជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន ដ៏ប្រកបដោយចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ទី៤ ដែលអរិយសាវកនោះ បានជួបប្រទះហើយ នាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់បរិសុទ្ធ ឲ្យបរិសុទ្ធ និងនាំឲ្យចិត្ត ដែលមិនទាន់ផូរផង់ ឲ្យផូរផង់។ គ្រហស្ថដែលជាអ្នកបានតាមប្រាថ្នា បានមិនលំបាក បានមិនក្រ នូវការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត ជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ៤ យ៉ាងនេះឯង។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត អ្នកត្រូវដឹងនូវគ្រហស្ថណាមួយ ដែលជាអ្នកស្លៀកស មានការងារសង្រួម ក្នុងសិក្ខាបទទាំង ៥ នេះផង បានតាមប្រាថ្នា បានមិនលំបាក បានមិនក្រ នូវការសម្រេចសម្រាន្ត ជាសុខក្នុងបច្ចុប្បន្ន អាស្រ័យនូវចេតសិកដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ៤ យ៉ាងនេះផង កាលបើគ្រហស្ថនោះ បា្រថ្នាព្យាករខ្លួនឯង ដោយខ្លួនឯងថា អាត្មាអញ អស់នរកហើយ អស់កំណើតតិរច្ឆានហើយ អស់បិត្តិវិស័យហើយ អស់អបាយ ទុគ្គតិ វិនិបាតហើយ អាត្មាអញជាសោតាបន្នបុគ្គល មានការមិនបានធ្លាក់ចុះជាធម្មតា ជាបុគ្គលទៀង មានសេចក្តីត្រាស់ដឹងទៅខាងមុខ ដូច្នេះ។
បើអ្នកប្រាជ្ញ ឃើញភ័យក្នុងនរកហើយ ត្រូវវៀរបាបទាំងឡាយ សមាទាននូវអរិយធម៌ (សីល ៥)។ កាលបើមានសេចក្តីព្យាយាម មិនត្រូវបៀតបៀនសត្វទាំងឡាយផង កាលដឹង មិនត្រូវនិយាយកុហកផង មិនត្រូវកាន់យកទ្រព្យ ដែលគេមិនបានឲ្យផង ត្រូវសន្តោសតែនឹងភរិយារបស់ខ្លួន មិនត្រូវត្រេកត្រអាលនឹងភរិយារបស់ជនដទៃផង មិនត្រូវផឹកមេរ័យ និងសុរា ដែលនាំចិត្តឲ្យវង្វេងផង។ បុគ្គលគួររលឹក នូវព្រះសម្ពុទ្ធផង ត្រិះរិះនូវធម៌ឲ្យរឿយៗផង ចំរើនចិត្តដែលជាប្រយោជន៍ មិនមានព្យាបាទ ដើម្បីប្រយោជន៍ដល់ទេវលោកផង។ កាលបើមានទេយ្យធម៌គ្រប់គ្រាន់ បុគ្គលអ្នកត្រូវការបុណ្យ អ្នកស្វែងរកបុណ្យ បានឲ្យទាន ចំពោះពួកសប្បុរសជាមុនហើយ ទាននោះ ជាទានមានផលបរិបូណ៌។ ម្នាលសារីបុត្ត តថាគត នឹងសំដែងនូវពួកសប្បុរស អ្នកចូរស្តាប់តថាគតចុះ គោឈ្មោលកើតក្នុងមេគោណាមួយ ទោះសម្បុរខ្មៅក្តី សក្តី ក្រហមក្តី លឿងក្តី ពព្រុសក្តី មានរូបប្រហែលនឹងកូនរបស់ខ្លួនក្តី ប្រផែះក្តី ដែលគេបង្វឹកបានបទហើយ ជាសត្វអាចនាំទៅនូវធុរៈបាន បរិបូណ៌ដោយកំឡាំង មានល្បឿនដ៏ពូកែ ពួកជនទឹមគោនោះ ក្នុងភារៈ គេមិនរើសអើងសម្បុរ នៃគោនោះឡើយ មានឧបមាយ៉ាងណាមិញ បុគ្គលមានមារយាទល្អ កើតក្នុងស្រី្តណាមួយ ទោះបីជាក្ស័ត្រឬព្រាហ្មណ៍ វេស្សៈ សុទ្ទៈ ចណ្ឌាល បុក្កុសៈ តែបានទូន្មានល្អ ប្រដៅងាយ តាំងនៅក្នុងធម៌ បរិបូណ៌ដោយសីល ពោលពាក្យសច្ចៈ មានចិត្តប្រកបដោយហិរិ លះបង់នូវការកើត និងស្លាប់ មានព្រហ្មចរិយៈពេញលេញ ទំលាក់ចោលនូវភារៈ ប្រាសចាកគ្រឿងសៅហ្មង ធ្វើនូវកិច្ចស្រេច មិនមានអាសវៈ ចេះចប់ធម៌ទាំងពួង រលត់ទុក្ខ ព្រោះមិនប្រកាន់ ទាន (ដែលទាយកឲ្យ) ចំពោះបុគ្គលដែលជាបុញ្ញក្ខេត្ត ប្រាសចាកធូលីនោះ ជាទានមានផលពេញបរិបូណ៌ ក៏មានឧបមេយ្យយ៉ាងនោះដែរ។ ពួកជនពាល ដែលមិនដឹង ឥតប្រាជ្ញា គ្មានការស្តាប់ តែងឲ្យទានខាងក្រៅ មិនចូលទៅអង្គុយជិតពួកសប្បុរសឡើយ។ ជនពួកណា តែងចូលទៅអង្គុយជិតពួកសប្បុរស ដែលប្រកបដោយប្រាជ្ញា ដែលអ្នកប្រាជ្ញសន្មតហើយ ជនពួកនោះ រមែងមានសទ្ធាជាមូល ប្រតិស្ឋានក្នុងព្រះសុគត មិនតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ជនពួកនោះ រមែងទៅកាន់ទេវលោក ឬកើតក្នុងត្រកូលនាលោកនេះ រមែងជាបណ្ឌិត ដល់នូវព្រះនិព្វានដោយលំដាប់។

The Arising of the Dhamma Eye   
What does the Dhamma eye see when it arises?

Then Ven. Assaji gave this Dhamma exposition to Sariputta the wanderer:


"Whatever phenomena arise from a cause:
   Their cause
      & their cessation.
Such is the teaching of the Tathagata,
      the Great Contemplative."
Then to Sariputta the wanderer, as he heard this exposition of Dhamma, there arose the dustless, stainless Dhamma eye: Whatever is subject to origination is all subject to cessation.

This standard formula — it is repeated throughout the Canon — may not seem that remarkable an insight. However, the texts make clear that this insight is not a matter of belief or contemplation, but of direct seeing. As the following passages show, belief and contemplation may be conducive to the seeing — and an undefined level of belief and discernment may actually guarantee that someday in this lifetime the seeing will occur — but only with the actual seeing does there come a dramatic shift in the course of one's life and one's relationship to the Dhamma.

"Monks, the eye is inconstant, changeable, alterable. The ear... The nose... The tongue... The body... The mind is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

Forms... Sounds ... Aromas... Flavors... Tactile sensations... Ideas are inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Eye-consciousness... Ear-consciousness... Nose-consciousness... Tongue-consciousness... Body-consciousness... Intellect-consciousness is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Eye-contact...Ear-contact...Nose-contact...Tongue-contact...Body-contact... Intellect-contact is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Feeling born of eye-contact... Feeling born of ear-contact... Feeling born of nose-contact... Feeling born of tongue-contact... Feeling born of body-contact... Feeling born of intellect-contact is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Perception of forms... Perception of sounds... Perception of smells... Perception of tastes... Perception of tactile sensations...Perception of ideas is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Intention for forms... Intention for sounds... Intention for smells... Intention for tastes... Intention for tactile sensations... Intention for ideas is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Craving for forms... Craving for sounds... Craving for smells... Craving for tastes... Craving for tactile sensations... Craving for ideas is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"The earth property... The liquid property... The fire property... The wind property... The space property... The consciousness property is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"Form... Feeling... Perception... Fabrications... Consciousness is inconstant, changeable, alterable.

"One who has conviction & belief that these phenomena are this way is called a faith-follower: one who has entered the orderliness of rightness, entered the plane of people of integrity, transcended the plane of the run-of-the-mill. He is incapable of doing any deed by which he might be reborn in hell, in the animal womb, or in the realm of hungry ghosts. He is incapable of passing away until he has realized the fruit of stream entry.

"One who, after pondering with a modicum of discernment, has accepted that these phenomena are this way is called a Dhamma-follower: one who has entered the orderliness of rightness, entered the plane of people of integrity, transcended the plane of the run-of-the-mill. He is incapable of doing any deed by which he might be reborn in hell, in the animal womb, or in the realm of hungry ghosts. He is incapable of passing away until he has realized the fruit of stream entry.

"One who knows and sees that these phenomena are this way is called a stream-enterer, steadfast, never again destined for states of woe, headed for self-awakening."
