While the world at large is busy in going after revenge:

It's is certain more than praise-worthy that the Khmer (khema = peaceful) Leader encourages to uphold reflection and gratitude for peace by wishing to promote everywhere the slogan "thank you peace", as Atma came accross.

That is actually just a modern translation of "N'atthi santi param sukham" and encourages toward "Asokaṃ virajaṃ khemaṃ etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ".

May many not only follow the encouragement to upasamānussati in every situation in daily live, but also rejoice with the merits done by such encouragement. May the Devas inform those not touched yet.

Reflecting on peace was what the Sublime Buddha pointed out the path, as he struggled and reminded on a blissful peaceful state as child.

And what brings peace about? Withdraw from conflicts, anstain from winning over a case. By knowing one self, by knowing breathing out, breathing in. Peace does not need outwardly support, isn't found in gross sense objects.

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

The Perfect One takes pleasure and delight in non-hostility. In doing so, this thought often occurs: ‘By this behaviour I harm no one at all, whether weak or strong.’

Avyāpajjhārāmo bhikkhave tathāgato avyāpajjharato. Tamenaṁ bhikkhave tathāgataṁ avyāpajjhārāmaṁ avyāpajjharataṁ esova vitakko bahulaṁ samudācarati: imāyāhaṁ irīyāya na kiñci vyābādhemi tasaṁ vā thāvaraṁ vā ti.
