All under one Domain - merge sangham.net and accesstoinsight.eu

Upasaka Moritz is currently on transferring all datas upon the new server. On that way it was thought to take it as an occasion to unify the dedications for the Sangha of the eight directions and it's followers under sangham.net, "for the Sangha.network".

That means the domain accesstoinsight.eu, the addresses, will be then always redirected on the corresponding sangham.net page, while the startpage of sangham.net will then lie within the environment of or wiki-software.

The forum it self will then be placed under sangham.net/forum or forum.sangham.net, of which in detail, Nyom Moritz may be on the way to decide.

Here in the first post just an introduction, updates and infos on it may follow.

If all goes on fine the undertaking will, or better the beginning of the undertaking, will happen the next days from now and so also apologize for all possible confusions which might happen and burdens to get into the structure smooth again.

May the undertaking of benefit for it's dedication and the long time welfare of all possible to be touched by it.

(Since a lot of work, starting from making start-page in multiple languages... is like always involved, may one feel always welcome to join the merits, since for that purpose does it actually goes on)

That such things are actually "very" virtual (active, caused by actions/deeds) things, my person thought to bring an imagination of such very effort in more used imagination:

That's how it looks in that what people still often call "real world", althought it will be for most, dwelling in this sphere here, merely unreal appearing already.

Upasaka Khemadāsa ("Slaves of the Khmer/Khema/peacefull, servant of security") at his prefered working place, the voluntary prison of merits, right 10 min. ago, of which he then changes to a place on a small bank in the small flat he is given by Upasika Sophorn to use while on his undertakings, dedicated for the Gems, here in Phnom Penh, as soon as the mosquitoes seek for their evening meal.

So if one has followed the from the old address displayed maintenance info, one should have found here on the new server and the new address of the forum forum.sangham.net (redirects so that it would work also when using old address related to the forum, will come soon as well.)

Actually, the "merge" would be the last step in the whole server migration .

Just to make a bit clearer what is supposed to happen here:

The forum is now already moved to http://forum.sangham.net (as people will have noticed when visiting here) and hosted on the new server.

The idea of the "merge", as suggested by Bhante, is to make the DokuWiki (currently at http://accesstoinsight.eu , and currently still on the old server) the primary focus of the Sangha's domain here, and move it to http://sangham.net .
The forum will then just have a "secondary" place here, now already on the subdomain forum.sangham.net .

Then there are ideas about connecting the two more: making it possible to start a forum discussion from a DokuWiki page, to archive old forum discussions into the DokuWiki...
But these are for now just ideas, not with a complete concept yet.
The main idea is just to more emphasize the focus of this domain as a working place for puñña and Dhammadana, where discussion should better be more linked to the "place of work"/kammathana maintained in the DokuWiki for the Sangha.

A copy of the DokuWiki at accesstoinsight.eu has been set up on the new server, now temporarily accessible on new.accesstoinsight.eu , while testing if it all works well. It can be made accessible at sangham.net as the domain's new main website at any time.
Before switching over, it just needs to be brought to the same state of "recent changes" to include all new additions since the copy which was made last night. Comparison of recent changes:

I have now changed the DNS settings to point accesstoinsight.eu to the new server. (So accesstoinsight.eu points to the same as new.accesstoinsight.eu now.)
It might take a while to take effect for everyone.

Not yet yesterday, but now it is done. I have changed the DNS settings so that sangham.net will now directly point to the DokuWiki. It could take a day until this setting takes effect for everyone. Any addresses starting with index.php will then be forwarded to forum.sangham.net, so that old forum links should work.
