Sadhu!
I am very grateful for all the goodness given to us strangers arriving in this land, the welcoming and help of so many people who made this coming in touch with Dhamma possible to me and Srey Verena, and the teachings of Dhamma at the Wat in Takeo, Wat Thmou Duk in the Aural mountains and Wat Vihear Kuon in Phnom Penh, which at some times was even more than I could handle well.
I was very happy having visited the venerable abbot at Wat Vihear Kuon as the last station of this journey, having arrived just in time together with Lok Srey Sophorn and sister Verena, meeting Lok Srey Ley and others, and found last minute opportunity to offer dana, then listening to Bhante's desana about rites and rituals and folk customs in relation to Buddhadhamma after Bhante's meal, which Lok Sophorn translated and explained to me as much as possible while listening.
Just like during the whole journey, Lok Sophorn took great care in all directions to translate between languages and connect different worlds/cultures which must be a very difficult task, having to be circumspect all the time in many very different ways, which fills me with deep gratitude for so much patience and great sacrifice of energy that must have been necessary for this.
We did not read Bong Srey Villa's message in time. My thought is that joining puñña kusala would of course be always welcome, and I believe that Lok Sophorn would think the same. Of course, coordination can be difficult or hindered sometimes.
I am very happy to have come in contact here with so many good people who were so helpful and patient and friendly and tolerant, even meeting some I had already heard of or had some contact with through this forum here, and foremost the venerable monks who taught the Dhamma to us, and Lok Sophorn who introduced us to all the (for us) new and foreign customs which are not easy to learn and remember for someone who has not grown up in a country like this.
May all mistakes and wrongdoings I might have done towards the three gems be forgiven and may I find opportunity to do better in future times.
May all who helped in so many ways during this journey find long life and happiness.
Sadhu sadhu sadhu!
