Quote from: Samana Johann today via email to Upasaka Mahinda Wijesinghe

 Valued Upasaka Mahinda Wijesinghe,

first of all, please pardon my person for approaching you uninvited. Atma (my person) could just finish the edition of the online version of Ven. Nyanadassana Theras Bhikkhu Patimokkha (http://zugangzureinsicht.org/html/lib/authors/nanadassana/patimokkha.html) and was searching for some biographical information and a picture for the index page of zugangzureinsicht.org.
While searching Atma came across some works which are very rare in this world, now the main basically aspect of wordily right view and so the access foundation for a practice within the Noble Eightfold Path: Gratitude (http://forum.sangham.net/index.php/topic,2029.msg9038/topicseen.html#new). Since this topic is so less taught in modern approaches of teaching the Dhamma, even the share of Dhamma on websites or where ever, misses this topic eternally, I would need to lie if I would not tell that Atma has really big desire to make this basic teachings more available.
So Atma would kindly ask, as a matter of gratitude and a matter of compassion for future generation, to publish your generous work "Gratitude" as a html online Version on accesstoinsight.eu (zugangzureinsicht.org) and also use some parts of it to add a missing factor of right view in the The Path to Freedom (http://zugangzureinsicht.org/html/ptf/index_en.html)
When ever Atma will find time and possibilities, he would also like to translate it into German language.

Atma came also across of a seldom work in regard of making Merits (ten ways of making...) for which Atma would also like to request the further contribution in the same way.

My current "greed" in regard of full filling obligations does not end here, because it is needed to tell about persons and there good deed. So it would be great, and is not a matter of conceit at all, to be able to share some biographical Data of yours and maybe a picture. Maybe you can even give some hints where Atma could find such also in regard of Ven. Maha Thera.

Finally - not sure if you know the wonderful work of Ven. Bhante Thanissaro, which explains the drive behind gratitude, since obligation is a very deep and subtle aspect of Dukkha and somebody not seeing the big amount of it, would not feel the need to go beyound - Atma would like to share the merits of

The Lessons of Gratitude (http://zugangzureinsicht.org/html/lib/authors/thanissaro/lessonsofgratitude_en.html), by Thanissaro Bhikkhu (2010; 7pp./22KB) How to repay the kindness of others in the best possible way.  Please feel always invited and welcome if valued Upasaka feels inspired of sharing Dhamma, and use the resources of the online monastery as well as accesstoinsight.eu.

With a joyful Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! and a recall of the Devas to forward and share this acts of merits with those who are able to rejoice with it, Atma takes a leave here. Anumodana!

 metta & mudita

(In the case you came in contact with Ven. Maha Thera, please forward Atmas respectful regards. A short email, by my person, was send to him the last days.)

"These two people are hard to find in the world. Which two? The one who is first to do a kindness, and the one who is grateful and thankful for a kindness done."

Actually it's a nice story about the Kamma of gratitude. Having come across Ven. Bhantes Bhikkhu Patimokkha and received it somehow as a mental remembrance of indirect preceptor years ago and ever felt the need to make it better accessible, as a matter of gratitude, valued Upasaka Moritz "our" living sample of training gratitude in perfection, who gave the initial spontaneous gift on an Uposatha day, searching for biographical information about the author and "accidentally" finding a teaching about the roots of all this kamma going on here, feeling the long need to bring this matter in a dominate presence also on ATI's heritage. That is what is meant when the elders say "Punna helps" and can be done just in line with it self and never on demand, for getting the gift of Dhamma, even when gained physical, on demand, such is impossible since there is no such as a cause, Nissaya, condition and environment so that it could arise.

May all beings know about people and actions of gratitude.

Anumodana!
