Once a Dhammikini shared her joy and its good to rejoice in the joy of others and even often remembering it after a longer time, calling the joy of others into the mind.
May every being have a share of this merits. Anumodana!
Coming home to the Buddha's Path
There’s a one-way road
that I’ve heard about
to abandon all suffering
— the only way out.
On this road, I know,
there is no returning
for those who see
„All existence is burning.”
The beings all —
in suffering they’re lost.
They’re pursuing wellbeing,
but chasing shadows at most.
They are clinging to life
well knowing it must cease,
yet hoping, pleadingly,
that somewhere they’ll find peace.
All beings, all
are trapped in birth,
their starring eyes
imperceptive to this curse.
All things arise
on conditions alone.
All that goes up
again must come down.
All life ever known
has death for its neighbor,
it’s wearing waves —
and aimless labor.
My world is upshaken
by this unheard-of insight.
Now truth must awaken,
it can no longer hide.
I take the raft yonder
to the other shore
with peace and confidence
I have not known before.
With quieted senses
there’s nothing to miss
Removed agitation —
— transcendental bliss!
There is not past, not future.
Not fear nor hope appear.
Beyond all words’ description
the mind grows boundless,
bright
and clear.
