164-183. ‘‘Tīhi , bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato yathābhataṃ nikkhitto evaṃ niraye. Katamehi tīhi? Attanā ca pāṇātipātī hoti, parañca pāṇātipāte samādapeti, pāṇātipāte ca samanuñño hoti. Imehi kho, bhikkhave, tīhi dhammehi samannāgato yathābhataṃ nikkhitto evaṃ niraye.

 2. pāṇātipāta, töten; pāṇa - Leben, Lebewesen, Atmendes, atipāta - lit. nach unten stüren, zu Fall bringen, zerstören.
 3. sagga, Himmel, Aufenthaltsorte im Bereich der Götter und Devas, Existenz mit langem Leben und im Wohl. Siehe auch: Die einunddreißig Ebenen der Existenz.
 4. adinnādāna, "stehlen"; adinna - Nichtgegebenes, adāna - ergreifen, festhalten oder nicht geben.
 5. kāmesumicchācārī, in (Fleisches-) Lust vergehen, kāmesu - Sinneslust, micchā - falsch, cāra - Tun, Verhalten. Als Tugendregel umfaßt dieses sexuelles Vergehen, welches soziale Instabilität und rechte anderer verunsichert. Anguttara Nikaya gibt fünf Arten von Personen an, mit denen eine sexuelle Beziehung als Fehlverhalten angeführt wird: jeder der unter der Obhut der Eltern steht (wie etwa nicht freigegeben, oder wenn minderjährig), unter der Obhut des Dhammas steht (wie etwa Mönche, Nonne, Personen die sich an Tugendregeln halten), verheiratet ist (wie etwa in einer geregelten Beziehung ist), einer Bestrafung unterzogen wird (wie etwa jemand der eine Schuld abträgt, oder nicht aus kann), jeder der jemandem versprochen ist (wie etwa verlobt)

As a precept it includes sexual misconduct that endangers social instability and the rights of others. Anguttara Nikaya counts five kinds of persons, which would count for a sexual misconduct: those who are under the protection of their parents (like not released, or if underage), those under the protection of the Dhamma (like monks, nuns, people who keep precepts), those who are married (or being in a regular relationship), those undergoing a punishment (like peope carry out a dept or have no possibility to elude), those who are promised to someone (like betrothed).
 18. musāvāda, musā - false, untrue, vāda - speaking, expressing.
 19. pisuṇavāca, pisuṇa - slander, malicious, vāca speaking. Speech which is objected to gain something.
 20. pharusavāco, pharusa - harsh, unfriendly, raw, vāca speaking. Speech which is carried by aversion and hurtfulness.
