To share some impressions from my perspective, first of all here some pictures, while sitting next to Bhante now in the room given by Upasaka Vladimir to stay while in Phnom Penh for the medical visits.
Bhante so far has been taken for some blood tests to the clinic yesterday, and some more today have been taken by the devoted doctor whose name I don't remember, who is more specialized in malaria knowledge. Bang Sophorn is organizing and planning all around and thinking carefully for the long-term about best possible ways to care and provide support for Bhante's health.
I am sitting in between many devoted and caring people who provide food and all requisites and care, and Bhante, as an assistant. Still not knowing/understanding well the customs here, as well as just some ordinary things, and learning only slowly how to behave properly here.
"Baan plet hoi." - "I forgot already." is the first Khmer sentence I learnt. I think I will use it a lot.
For now, it is quiet here for a moment. Bhante, still weakened, is resting a little, and otherwise always taking care that I don't feel too stupid. Now, Sophorn, and I think some more people, are coming ...
I will try to add some commentaries later, giving some impression, also for people outside and those left behind home, who are wondering what I am doing here. So maybe more from a "tourist perspective": Impressions from a pig in the land of Khema.
* Some pictures may appear in wrong orientation. I will try to fix that later.
