Recollecting the Experienced

2. day: after having a night of (khema) in the Fields of the Khmer, Atma /Kana left the present of chisor mountain behind.

going straight north-west through the rice Fields.  Short enter the nearby villages for pindabat then return on the way through the fields.

Mothers of Khmer, looking for the kumaras khema (security) along the way.

Today thinking of how the Sublime Buddha advised to “crossing over the flood"

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

"When I pushed forward, I was whirled about. When I stayed in place, I sank. And so I crossed over the flood without pushing forward, without staying in place."


day 3:

At the morning, a given possibility to clean the body and robe.

went on almsround in a "remote village "

like the other days,  when the villagers recognized,  that this “barang” do not have interest in money,  fast the "mothers of Khmer" with alot of joy spreading around the place, ,  more than “just happy” to make good deeds.

at around 11 o'clock arrived at Phnom Tamao. resting a bit and then going straight north/west.

statement of the day from a Mother of Khema:

“When I was talking to him in english language, the Monk answer in khmer language and also can talk "prah Thor". he do not need Money, do not want a car or motorcycle. Just “conviction” saddhā in Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha.

 today's thoughts:
 
 “every time,  when Atma/Kana goes “on the high(er) way” a feeling of “living at home”comes up, every time when Atma/Kana is "staying at a home" a feeling of “living on a highway” comes up.
 
 right after that thinking “do not feel “at home” when you are at home and do not feel at home when on the street.  it might be,  that a poisonous snake or a car hit you right there."
 
 Being home-less do not mean to living on a street. it means not to make a stand-hold in “world” anymore so nothing can hit you right there .

* Johann:  In between, my person thought to post a message by Nyom Villa given in the shoutbox here, so that general worries may be eased and to don't think that there is hardly ever any real dislike of especially good monk (even if not so on path or much introduced) and more of state organs, if one is on good ways and sticking with Vinaya. Of course there can be missunderstandings and dangers for possible over-eager monks getting fear or govermental organs.

Sure Bhante approves and praises such, accepts that with mudita, and good to give the monk also a feedback, as well as to the state organs since such accidantly things can burden very heavy not able to get out of a fault and to purify.

Walking and dwell quite long in a mode, now maybe eight years in the land of the Khema, of not holding any rights like a bird, and refuge aside of the tripple, such encounters are very usual and my person can not remember any case where not all, if not right from the beginning, but at the end of such investigations, before walking on or rest, especially the Khmer actually people of execution did not do a lot of merits. If it happens to leave each other by a side of not being welcome it's merely, sad but true as well as most bad kamma and guidiance of others, by monks, never, till now, by those who do just there job at most and know their particulary task.

So my person could only find great praise of the lands police officals and other state organs, in regard of their trust and faith toward the Juwels, althought surely encounter a lot of other that faith supporting under monks at larg. Maybe my person finds the right place to share some of such stories when a stranger beggar gets approached by all kinds of authorities and stories of merits to join and to get a little different light of general qualities surely hard to find anywhere else in the world. Of course such stories had find there arising at Corona-times as well, but actually not really different in containing much food to join the merits, huge and small of security organs.

Generally, please, no one needs really worry much about a monk on dhammic walk about and familar in the costums of the Noble Ones. That's actually why they do such in that way, not taking any refuge aside th Gems and to be nevery much of a burden for anyone but just a field to gain Saddha and merits fro those who wish to take a possibility seldom to get. So never feel angry or fearful as this is the point of reminder that there are the Gems free of fear and that one can follow the way to gain fearlessness and independency likewise for oneself following the stream of those "Pros satta" as that mode of life of almsbeggar is called "serving all being" and non particular part or side, harmless.

"Abandoning false speech, he abstains from false speech. He speaks the truth, holds to the truth, is firm, reliable, no deceiver of the world. This, too, is part of his virtue.

"Abandoning divisive speech he abstains from divisive speech. What he has heard here he does not tell there to break those people apart from these people here. What he has heard there he does not tell here to break these people apart from those people there. Thus reconciling those who have broken apart or cementing those who are united, he loves concord, delights in concord, enjoys concord, speaks things that create concord. This, too, is part of his virtue.

Recollecting the Experienced

2. day: after having a night of (khema) in the Fields of the Khmer, Atma /Kana left the present of chisor mountain behind.

going straight north-west through the rice Fields.  Short enter the nearby villages for pindabat then return on the way through the fields.

Mothers of Khmer, looking for the kumaras khema (security) along the way.

Today thinking of how the Sublime Buddha advised to “crossing over the flood"

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

"When I pushed forward, I was whirled about. When I stayed in place, I sank. And so I crossed over the flood without pushing forward, without staying in place."


day 3:

At the morning, a given possibility to clean the body and robe.

went on almsround in a "remote village "

like the other days,  when the villagers recognized,  that this “barang” do not have interest in money,  fast the "mothers of Khmer" with alot of joy spreading around the place, ,  more than “just happy” to make good deeds.

at around 11 o'clock arrived at Phnom Tamao. resting a bit and then going straight north/west.

statement of the day from a Mother of Khema:

“When I was talking to him in english language, the Monk answer in khmer language and also can talk "prah Thor". he do not need Money, do not want a car or motorcycle. Just “conviction” saddhā in Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha.

 “every time,  when Atma/Kana goes “on the high(er) way” a feeling of “living at home”comes up, every time when Atma/Kana is "staying at a home" a feeling of “living on a highway” comes up.
 
 right after that thinking “do not feel “at home” when you are at home and do not feel at home when on the street.  it might be,  that a poisonous snake or a car hit you right there."
 
 Being home-less do not mean to living on a street. it means not to make a stand-hold in “world” anymore so nothing can hit you right there .

Arriving at goodness by overcoming goodness


Someday, when sitting quietly under a tree. a group of people arrived at that place.

One of the leading people was holding a stick in the hands.After venerating and giving some tonics sitting also quietly. The leading People still holding a stick in the hand.

then asking the visitors:“What is the purpose your visit? ”

the visitors answered:“we want to see the monk and do some good deeds through veneration and giving some tonic!”

“Sadhu, Mudita,  it is good to visit and see monks, it is good for someone of respectful nature to honors what is worth to honor."

after that, all seems to be more relaxed.

Asking further: “What is the reason for holding a stick in the hand?”

Answer:“When there is an animal or something, i can protect me and other by using the stick!” (raised and moved the stick)

“When someone is acting in an harmful way, is this a protection for oneself and others?

“No!”

"hurting other with body, mind and speech, is this wholesome (kusalaṃ) or unwholesome (akusalaṃ)?"

“unwholesome!”

"Is practicing silā (virtue) wholesome or unwholesome? "

“wholesome!"

“when someone is practicing wholesome in body, mind and speech, is this a protection for someone and other?"

“Yes!”

“Why?”

“Because someone do not acting harmful to oneself and others anymore !”

"Is this good or bad?"

“Sure, it is good!”

“Sadhu!”


"there is no reason for someone, who arrived at good-ness, to make use of sticks, knifes etc."

After that, fast "letting go" off the stick.

after talked/practice about veneration, dāna (generousity) silā (virtue), wholesome unwholesome. the visitors,  at ease, went back to their homes.



There are two different goodness kana/Atma was referring to. 

One goodness based on micchā diṭṭhi (wrong view) and another goodness which is based on sammā diṭṭhi (right view).

someone who want to protect themselves and other by using stick, knifes, weapons, is someone who cannot see,  that such acts would only increase suffering.

Even when someone thinks “out of goodness I will protect my mother, father, children, beloved, friends, House, car, motorcycle with this and that stick, knife, weapon.” it would not protect someone from suffering, it is still based on micchā diṭṭhi (wrong view)

At the moment, when someone sees  the truth of suffering, the truth of the cause of suffering, the truth of the end of suffering, and the truth of the path that leads to the end of suffering, someone is no more able to act in a way that will increase suffering for themselves and other.

Someone becomes a protector of goodness.

Someone arrived at goodness. (based on right view)

As having heard from Bhante Indannano today, Bhante Khemakumara left this morning for another Dhammic Walkabout, although sure another month maybe daily rains at inconstant time.

May his path always be best protected, adide of his strength in such, by all Devas around, joining joyfully, and may he always meet good Nissaya ripping at harder times so that the journry may be of highest paths and fruits.

May all be able to join this, his, outstanding merits and be often by him by heart, wishing to follow by body one time soon.

Just for the case that Bhante might read or someone telling him:

On the south foot of Srong mountain, next a Chinese stone company, there is a small Wat where Atma dwelled one night, was guest. The Ven. Abbott is about same age, very knowledgeable and has faith, although still busy and astray looking after his parents. Also a Ven. Thera, with upright Vinaya, from Wat Kiri Goro often dwells there, once having visited the Ashram here.

If Bhante needs anything, even nice remote Kuti on the mountain, he can be sure being more then welcome there (greeting to the Ven. in the case meeting them).
