The woman, btw, helped also many years ago for understanding intention.

My person used to visite the monks there sometimes. On one occasion rebuked them on behaviour to throw garbage all around, explaining that such is not easy possibly without akusala, aversive, intention, carelessness.

At the end my person thought to give a finall example: "do you think it's possible to throw dirt away with good intention?" Sensing the right time, my person took a bottle and throw it without looking out on the street. The monks said: "look!" The garbage collecting woman, just walked along, met the bottle right before her feets, picked it up and stood their smiling saluting the giver and walked then joyful on, as my person left then as well.

At today's almsround, as usual "meeting" alot of flyes which are resting on the intense smelling “garbage” on the street.

Flyes like the sweating and smelling body. the flyes resting on the monks face, nose and ears to eat from this body.

On the way back to the Monastery, a woman came in front of the Monk and wishes to give something.

Atma saw  that she was collecting plastic bottles from the street.

From her “acting and speech” someone could think that she was in “a weird state of mind”

The woman, really happy to see the Monk,  stops her work,  came in front of the Monk, took some plastic sheet (covered with some dressing) an gave it to the Monk, after that, hands in anjali, pressed her palms together in front of the chest and salute respectfully.

Then this Sutta came into the mind:

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

Coming down from my dwelling place, I entered the city for alms, stood courteously next to a leper eating his meal. He, with his rotting hand, tossed me a morsel of food, and as the morsel was dropping, a finger fell off    right there.

It is not common, that someone,  who has
"nothing" even lack of “good state of mind” can increase energy to get rid of this “insanity” an see a possibility worth to give to and also being happy to show respect and as a result of that, dwelling in pleasurable state of mind.

Alot of living beings cannot do this. just sitting there,  laughting, lost in gaining, unable to give,  unable to see what is of more lasting happiness than this rotten, intense smelling body.
