Does anybody has an idea how much storage, hanging on things, costs a year?
Storage of datas in the internet network cost about 3.500$ for 1.000GB a year. That's just storing, without traffic, without search engines... your personal devices.
Now think of how much goes down the cemeteries ... = your suffering.
People always "laugh" when my person tells them that their "free" stuff costs for each person currently 3-5000$ a year (the common googling, face, tweet, mail, uploads, downloads...) and whether they think that the "free-giver", at least vipaka, will not soon knock on the door when hardly addicted. Some think that they already pay for it...
Nobody needs to be a mathematician to be clear that the current way of no Sila and use of "free" will end up in large disasters.
The world produces about 44 trillion gigabytes data a year of which 90% are surely unsorted datas.
It may sound again and again stupid when encouraging to "Anamaya", cleaning up and care about the mass.
A day or week spend only with sorting out emails, deleting datas, especial if stored somewhere else, where others carry it, is much more worth then to crazy try to make merits by generosity or more gain by using more search engines and tool of third parts.
Sila is not only a gift for all bu also the way to wealth and the way toward cool, a cool that heads straight toward Nibbana.
You may wonder that there is a pali word same written "care"
What does Bhante Varado think? Better to leave a tiny good walked path to the "Ashram in the forest", or build an highway and way signs so that may, of "outstanding people" may get touched?
Less will be there who will in future ever appropriate the work by Bhante, saying "Devadatta", "Mara", gives us tools and means to look up as we like and wish, for free and without limitations. But there are, and they need no search engines to meet up with their Upanissaya, those capable to live simply from generosity and take care even of that others may consider as dirt, knowing the suffering and sacrifices behind it's arising.
My person has seen faithful people offering gifts and had been laugh about the "maras" and "devadattas" - thought they where worthy ones - pointing out that there google and open source stuff works fine for them...
