Another time the burning and killing-time has began in the land of the Khmer "Khema" when, short after harvest people, like lead by evil spirits, will burn down the whole country without exception.
After two month without rain and floor covered by leaves, people, like tree farmers already started the burning. When the harvest is finished by the rice farmers, they will go out to burn the forests for the upcoming cutting forest season. Countless beings are deprived from dwellings, killed and another time billions of money is blown into the are, a possible earning, if not doing, 100-1000 times higher that the wood selling could effort, if a little smart. But it's the matter of being not very wise and greedy that one pushed himself and all others with potential speed into poorness suffering and low states.
And sad that even monks are not dear to lead such things. Yet not only small transgression but the kamma of breaking the precept of stealing by destruction, destroying habitats and killing. Downfall transgressions included it matching a human while doing such and nobody can be sure not to even kill and Arahat or Paccecabuddha as well.
Poorness and sufferings roots are lack of Sila, lack of metta and foolish greediness and hardly ever, in a world, leaded by the voice of the mass, which is by nature not the wise part, and evaluation of foolish ways would be corrected and some forces to lead to a better taken on.
May as many possible protected by the less Devas still dwelling on earth and may many get in touch with the Dhamma before they another time work on their highway to hell, and wonder why people out of nothing have to die under napalm bombardments or in their homes, here and there, again and again.
