The Yogis spent the rest of yesterday in meditation sessions.

Thisxmorning already much more alert and mindful, fresh and awake, in the morning much talk on Dhamma before leaving for alms. Focus on rightvview, goodness, gratitude, debt: samvega (seeing Dukkha) as this is the base of Saddha/Sila/Sati arises.

On alms into the south, Nyom Villa approached togivealms food. Back, having taken meal, the Buddhaparisada assembled again and again intensive talk on Dhamma with focus on the base, teaching the Avijja Sutta as well.

Afternoon, thought on particular driving back, raining, Nyom, Nyom decided to make some merits for the Buddhaparisada who often cross the flooded bridge. Having a lot of tread at the Ashram, they now try to gain people to make at least a safety string in cases the bridge goes off.

The group made merits yesterday, gave food to the Yogis as well, was btw. the owner of the bridge, normally not charging less to allow to use the "russian roulette" in crossing in most dangerous ways.

Much teachings about some general mistakes believing practice means using ones luck (old merits) off and develop simply householder equanimity instead of doing meritsfirst all the time and at any occasions.

Of course what ever in the reach of thieves will be used for bad in addition, will be carried away for low purpose, like smuggling logs or using string later to transport... yet even Arahats may use the bridge and previous ancestors, once done merits, will benefit from this generosity, not to speak about oneself.

   Ṭhānaso upakappati
So ñāti-dhammo ca ayaṃ nidassito
   Petāna-pūjā ca katā uḷārā
Balañca bhikkhūnam-anuppadinnaṃ
   Tumhehi puññaṃ pasutaṃ anappakanti.

"He gave to me, he acted on my behalf,
   and he was my relative, companion, friend."
Offerings should be given for the dead
   when one reflects (thus) on what was done in the past.
For no weeping or sorrowing or any kind of lamentation
   benefit the dead whose relatives keep acting in that way.
* But when this offering is given, well-placed in the Sangha,
It works for their long-term benefit
   And they profit immediately.
   In this way the proper duty to relatives has been shown
   And great honor has been done to the dead
   And the monks have been given strength:
      You've acquired merit that's not small.



Bhuttā bhogā bhaṭā bhaccā
   Vitiṇṇā āpadāsu me
Uddhaggā dakkhiṇā dinnā
   Atho pañca balī katā
Upaṭṭhitā sīlavanto
   Saññatā brahmacārino
Yadatthaṃ bhogam-iccheyya
   Paṇḍito gharam-āvasaṃ
So me attho anuppatto
   Kataṃ ananutāpiyaṃ
Etaṃ anussaraṃ macco
   Ariya-dhamme ṭhito naro
Idheva naṃ pasaṃsanti
   Pecca sagge pamodatīti.


"My wealth has been enjoyed,
My dependents supported,
   protected from calamities by me.
I have given lofty offerings,
   and performed the five oblations.
I have provided for the virtuous,
   the restrained, leaders of the holy life.
For whatever aim a wise householder
   would desire wealth,
   that aim I have attained.
I have done what will not lead to future distress."
When this is recollected by a mortal,
   a person established in the Dhamma of the Noble Ones,
He is praised in this life
   and, after death, rejoices in heaven.

Going down in the morning after sun rise (the lay people on meditation while the monk after their communal duties), all assembled listening again an review on the different between consume practice for regeneration to go on make even more indebtedness increasing while developing householder Equanimity, the Uposatha of the Jains and the Uposatha of the Noble ones, leading to leave home and worlds (suffering).

Delight, having gotten turned upright, what never been taught straight forward and deep reasonablerejoicing with their good deeds and views developed, with a much stronger and health Atta, with right conceit, after cleaning up, leaving all proper behind, without faults, they left back to their homes to work further on the most needed home (leaving) task.

Other than at the sessions used to, they got no ways to repay the goodness received by the Gems other then to do the task, as of course nothing would be accepted as reward for lessons in Dhamma.

May all rejoice with the "Naga-devas" huge merits and gain of nearly firm basic right view in the ozean of wrong.

The village silent, all exhausted from eager doing merits the last two weeks, the alms round was 4, 5km into the north and back at noon. After short rest, if not raining, fixing some issues like window, door, light, cleaning... at the new access land kuti before slowly come back to more "normal" and practice again.

A person of integrity gives right obtained, own, where there are duties in relation, knows where giving bears great fruits, gives as well out of compassion everywhere where is need, knows, only one who doesn't know kamma, doesn't know food, eats himself first before others hunger is stilled.

លុះ​ព្រះ​មាន​ព្រះ​ភាគ ទ្រង់​សំដែង​សេចក្ដី​នុ៎ះ​ហើយ។ ទ្រង់​ត្រាស់​គាថា​ព័ន្ធ​នេះ ក្នុង​សូត្រ​នោះ​ថា

    បុគ្គល​ណា បាន​នូវ​សមណៈ បាន​នូវ​ព្រាហ្មណ៍ បាន​នូវ​អ្នក​កំព្រា អ្នក​ដំណើរ ទាំង​បាន​នូវ​ជន​អ្នក​ពណ៌នា​ហើយ​សូម​ទាំង​ឡាយ ហើយ​មិន​ចាត់​ចែង​នូវ​បាយ ទឹក ភោជន បណ្ឌិត​ទាំង​ឡាយ តែង​ហៅ​នូវ​បុគ្គល​ដ៏​លាមក​នោះ​ឯង​ថា ដូច​ជា​មេឃ ដែល​មិន​បង្អុរ​ភ្លៀង​ចុះ ដូច្នោះ​។ បុគ្គល​ណា មិន​ឲ្យ​ទាន ដល់​សមណៈ​ពួក​ខ្លះ ឲ្យ​ទាន​ដល់​សមណៈ​ពួក​ខ្លះ ពួក​ជន​អ្នក​មាន​ប្រាជ្ញា តែង​ហៅ​បុគ្គល​នោះ​ឯង​ថា ដូច​ជា​មេឃ​ដែល​បង្អុរ​ភ្លៀង​ចុះ ក្នុង​ប្រទេស​មួយ ៗ ដូច្នោះ​។ ទ. ៨៩បុរស មាន​វាចា​នាំ​ឲ្យ​បាន​បាយ​ដោយ​ងាយ មាន​សេចក្ដី​អនុគ្រោះ​សព្វ​សត្វ មាន​ចិត្តរីករាយ តែង​ចាត់​ចែង (ទេយ្យធម៌) ពោល​ថា អ្នក​ទាំង​ឡាយ ចូរ​ឲ្យ អ្នក​ទាំង​ឡាយ ចូរ​ឲ្យ ប្រៀប​ដូច​មហាមេឃ​គ្រហឹម​គម្រាម ហើយ​បង្អុរ​ភ្លៀង​ចុះ ធ្វើ​ទីទួល និង​ទី​ទាប បង្ហូរ​ឲ្យ​ពេញដោយ​ទឹក យ៉ាងណា​មិញ បុគ្គល​ខ្លះ​ក្នុង​លោក​នេះ ជា​អ្នក​មាន​សភាព​ដូច្នោះ បាន​ប្រមូល​មក​នូវ​ទ្រព្យ ដែល​កើត​ដោយ​សេចក្ដី​ព្យាយាម​តាមផ្លូវ​ធម៌ ក៏​ជប់​លៀង ពួក​ជន​អ្នក​ពណ៌នា​ហើយ​សូម ដែល​មក​ដល់​ដោយ​ល្អ ដោយ​បាយ ទឹក ក៏​យ៉ាង​នោះ​ដែរ។

[៤១] គ្រានោះឯង អនាថបិណ្ឌិកគហបតី ចូលទៅគាល់ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ លុះចូលទៅដល់ហើយ ក៏ថ្វាយបង្គំព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ រួចអង្គុយក្នុងទីសមគួរ។ លុះអនាថបិណ្ឌិកគហបតី អង្គុយក្នុងទីសមគួរហើយ ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគ បានត្រាស់ដូច្នេះថា ម្នាលគហបតី ការកាន់យកនូវភោគៈនេះ មាន ៥ យ៉ាង។ ៥យ៉ាង ដូចម្តេចខ្លះ។ ម្នាលគហបតី អរិយសាវក ក្នុងលោកនេះ មានភោគទាំងឡាយ ដែលខ្លួនបានមកដោយសេចក្តីខ្នះខ្នែង ព្យាយាម ដែលខ្លួនសន្សំដោយកម្លាំងដៃ មានញើសហូរចេញ ប្រកបដោយធម៌ បានមកដោយធម៌ ហើយញ៉ាំងខ្លួនឲ្យសុខ ឲ្យឆ្អែត រក្សាសេចក្តីសុខដោយប្រពៃ ញ៉ាំងមាតា បិតាឲ្យសុខ ឲ្យឆ្អែត រក្សាសេចក្តីសុខ ដោយប្រពៃ ញ៉ាំងបុត្រ ភរិយា ទាសកម្មករ និងបុរសទាំងឡាយឲ្យសុខ ឲ្យឆ្អែត រក្សាសេចក្តីសុខ ដោយប្រពៃ នេះជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈ ទី១។ ម្នាលគហបតី មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក មានភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ដែលខ្លួនបានមក ដោយការខ្នះខ្នែង ព្យាយាម ដែលខ្លួនសន្សំ ដោយកម្លាំងដៃ មានញើសហូរចេញ ប្រកបដោយធម៌ បានមកដោយធម៌ រមែងញ៉ាំងមិត្រអាមាត្យឲ្យសុខ ឲ្យឆ្អែត រក្សាសេចក្តីសុខ ដោយប្រពៃ នេះជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ទី២។ ម្នាលគហបតី មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក មានភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ដែលខ្លួនបានមក ដោយការខ្នះខ្នែង ព្យាយាម ដែលខ្លួនសន្សំ ដោយកម្លាំងដៃ មានញើសហូរចេញ ប្រកបដោយធម៌ បានមកដោយធម៌ ទុកការពារនូវសេចក្តីអន្តរាយ ដែលកើតអំពីភ្លើង អំពីទឹក អំពីស្តេច អំពីចោរ អំពីជនមិនជាទីស្រឡាញ់ អំពីអ្នកទាមទារមត៌ក ហើយក៏ធ្វើខ្លួនឲ្យដល់សួស្តី ព្រោះភោគៈទាំងឡាយនោះ នេះជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ទី៣។ ម្នាលគហបតី មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក មានភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ដែលខ្លួនបានមក ដោយការខ្នះខ្នែង ព្យាយាម សន្សំដោយកម្លាំងដៃ មានញើសហូរចេញ ប្រកបដោយធម៌ បានមកដោយធម៌ ហើយជាអ្នកធ្វើនូវពលី ៥ ប្រការ គឺ ញាតិពលី ១ អតិថិពលី ១ បុព្វបេតពលី ១ រាជពលី ១ ទេវតាពលី ១ នេះជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ទី៤។ ម្នាលគហបតី មួយទៀត អរិយសាវក មានភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ដែលខ្លួនបានមក ដោយការខ្នះខ្នែង ព្យាយាម ដែលខ្លួនសន្សំដោយកម្លាំងដៃ មានញើសហូរចេញ ប្រកបដោយធម៌ បានមកដោយធម៌ ពួកសមណព្រាហ្មណ៍ណា ប្រាសចាកសេចក្តីប្រមាទ ព្រោះស្រវឹង តាំងនៅក្នុងខន្តិ និងសោរច្ចៈ ទូន្មានតែខ្លួនឯងម្នាក់ រម្ងាប់តែខ្លួនឯងម្នាក់ រំលត់ (កិលេស) ចំពោះខ្លួនម្នាក់ ហើយដំកល់ទុក នូវទក្ខិណាទាន ដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ ជាធម្មជាត ឲ្យនូវអារម្មណ៍ដ៏ល្អ មានសុខជាវិបាក ប្រព្រឹត្តទៅ ដើម្បីស្ថានសួគ៌ ចំពោះពួកសមណព្រាហ្មណ៍ មានសភាពដូច្នោះ នេះជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ទី៥។ ម្នាលគហបតី ទាំង ៥ នេះឯង ជាការកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ។ ម្នាលគហបតី បើភោគៈទាំង ៥ យ៉ាងនេះ របស់អរិយសាវកនោះ ដល់នូវកិរិយាអស់ទៅ ព្រោះហេតុដែលបុគ្គលគប្បីកាន់យក ចំពោះហេតុ ដែលបុគ្គលគប្បីកាន់យកភោគៈទាំងឡាយ អរិយសាវកនោះ មានសេចក្តីត្រិះរិះ យ៉ាងនេះថា អើហ្ន៎ ហេតុទាំងឡាយណា ដែលបុគ្គលគប្បីកាន់យកភោគៈទាំងឡាយ អាត្មាអញ កាន់យកនូវហេតុទាំងឡាយនោះផង ភោគៈទាំងឡាយរបស់អាត្មាអញ ក៏ដល់នូវកិរិយាអស់ទៅផង ដូច្នោះ ហេតុនោះ អរិយសាវកនោះ មិនមានសេចក្តីស្តាយក្រោយសោះឡើយ។ ម្នាលគហបតី បើភោគៈទាំង ៥ យ៉ាងនេះ អរិយសាវកនោះ ចំរើនឡើង ព្រោះហេតុដែលគប្បីកាន់យក ចំពោះហេតុដែលបុគ្គលគប្បីកាន់យកភោគៈទាំងឡាយ អរិយសាវកនោះ មានសេចក្តីត្រិះរិះ យ៉ាងនេះថា អើហ្ន៎ ហេតុទាំងឡាយណា ដែលអញគប្បីកាន់យក នូវភោគៈទាំងឡាយ អាត្មាអញ នឹងកាន់យកនូវហេតុទាំងនោះផង ភោគៈទាំងឡាយ របស់អញ ចំរើនឡើងផង ហេតុដូច្នោះនោះ អរិយសាវកនោះ ជាអ្នកឥតមានសេចក្តីស្តាយក្រោយសោះឡើយ។ អរិយសាវក ឥតមានសេចក្តីស្តាយក្រោយ ដោយហេតុទាំងពីរយ៉ាង។

    ភោគៈទាំងឡាយ ដែលអាត្មាអញ បានបរិភោគហើយ មិត្រ អាមាត្រ អាត្មាអញ បានចិញ្ចឹមហើយ អាត្មាអញ បានកន្លងផុត អំពីសេចក្តីអន្តរាយហើយ ទក្ខិណាដ៏ប្រសើរបំផុត អាត្មាអញ បានឲ្យហើយ មួយទៀត ពលីទាំង ៥ អាត្មាអញបានធ្វើហើយ ពួកព្រហ្មចារី អ្នកមានសីល ជាអ្នកសង្រួម អាត្មាអញ បានដំកល់ទានទុកហើយ បណ្ឌិតអ្នកនៅគ្រប់គ្រងផ្ទះ ប្រាថ្នាភោគៈ ដើម្បីប្រយោជន៍ណា ប្រយោជន៍នោះ អាត្មាអញ បានសម្រេចហើយ កម្មដែលមិនបានក្តៅក្រហាយតាមក្រោយ អាត្មាអញ បានធ្វើហើយ សត្វ គឺនរជន កាលរលឹកឃើញហេតុនុ៎ះ ឈ្មោះថា ជាអ្នកឋិតនៅក្នុងអរិយធម៌ ពួកបណ្ឌិត តែងសរសើរបុគ្គលនុ៎ះ នាលោកិយនេះ បុគ្គលនោះ ដល់ទៅបរលោក រមែងរីករាយ ក្នុងស្ថានសួគ៌។



Adiya Sutta: Benefits to be Obtained (from Wealth)

Then Anathapindika the householder went to the Blessed One and, on arrival, having bowed down to him, sat to one side. As he was sitting there the Blessed One said to him: "There are these five benefits that can be obtained from wealth. Which five?

"There is the case where the disciple of the noble ones — using the wealth earned through his efforts & enterprise, amassed through the strength of his arm, and piled up through the sweat of his brow, righteous wealth righteously gained — provides himself with pleasure & satisfaction, and maintains that pleasure rightly. He provides his mother & father with pleasure & satisfaction, and maintains that pleasure rightly. He provides his children, his wife, his slaves, servants, & assistants with pleasure & satisfaction, and maintains that pleasure rightly. This is the first benefit that can be obtained from wealth.

"Furthermore, the disciple of the noble ones — using the wealth earned through his efforts & enterprise, amassed through the strength of his arm, and piled up through the sweat of his brow, righteous wealth righteously gained — provides his friends & associates with pleasure & satisfaction, and maintains that pleasure rightly. This is the second benefit that can be obtained from wealth.

"Furthermore, the disciple of the noble ones — using the wealth earned through his efforts & enterprise, amassed through the strength of his arm, and piled up through the sweat of his brow, righteous wealth righteously gained — wards off from calamities coming from fire, flood, kings, thieves, or hateful heirs, and keeps himself safe. This is the third benefit that can be obtained from wealth.

"Furthermore, the disciple of the noble ones — using the wealth earned through his efforts & enterprise, amassed through the strength of his arm, and piled up through the sweat of his brow, righteous wealth righteously gained — performs the five oblations: to relatives, guests, the dead, kings, & devas. This is the fourth benefit that can be obtained from wealth.

"Furthermore, the disciple of the noble ones — using the wealth earned through his efforts & enterprise, amassed through the strength of his arm, and piled up through the sweat of his brow, righteous wealth righteously gained — institutes offerings of supreme aim, heavenly, resulting in happiness, leading to heaven, given to brahmans & contemplatives who abstain from intoxication & heedlessness, who endure all things with patience & humility, each taming himself, each restraining himself, each taking himself to Unbinding. This is the fifth benefit that can be obtained from wealth.

"If it so happens that, when a disciple of the noble ones obtains these five benefits from wealth, his wealth goes to depletion, the thought occurs to him, 'Even though my wealth has gone to depletion, I have obtained the five benefits that can be obtained from wealth,' and he feels no remorse. If it so happens that, when a disciple of the noble ones obtains these five benefits from wealth, his wealth increases, the thought occurs to him, 'I have obtained the five benefits that can be obtained from wealth, and my wealth has increased,' and he feels no remorse. So he feels no remorse in either case."

'My wealth has been enjoyed,
my dependents supported,
   protected from calamities by me.
I have given supreme offerings
   & performed the five oblations.
I have provided for the virtuous,
   the restrained,
   followers of the holy life.
For whatever aim a wise householder
   would desire wealth,
      that aim I have attained.
I have done what will not lead to future distress.'
When this is recollected by a mortal,
   a person established in the Dhamma of the Noble Ones,
he is praised in this life
   and, after death, rejoices in heaven.
