Just be careful that expressions of mudita do not become     declarations of love

How ever, Atma is still sad that Upasaka Retro and David are still happy to be without leader, without refuge. But it may change, it's to appreciate that they have done the merits, and still try their best and possible will one day take real refuge, bond them for the sake of real freedom.
For it's not good to worship and appreciate notions of becoming, me, we, myself, mine and I, making just declarations of love some distance to the north, east, south, west, the practice of the Jains.
