Was a little bit hard, like often, just 7x7/12cm touchsreen and editing online, but otherwise probably never:

Draft Aṅguttara Nikāya (Uppalavanna) is so far brought into gross ati.eu standard.

When ever any Venerable or others of the Parisa here feel inspired to point out spelling errors, punctation... what ever comes to awarness, wishes to correct directly or let systematical errors be knowen, always a great opportunity to give into.

Current handicap on others, my person has used possibilities to start to sort and upload the Gifts of the translation by Sister Uppalavanna on ati.eu for possible easier doing merits if inspired.

Current found in my persons draft area:

http://accesstoinsight.eu/user/johann/work/uppa/index

Things to do:

* Syntax into ati.eu standard
* Format into Standard, similar Dhp by Ven. Varado
* structur of hierachy like the Sanghayana version
* Replacement of character "errors"
* Corretion of typos, raw errors, spelling, punctation
* Finer correction of spelling, grammer
* Proveread and correction in regard of grave errors misinterpreting the fundamentals if. there are

If someone is good familar with regex, and inspired to work on more global corrections, one may let it be known to get access to the regex-editor-tool.

As some AN parts had been prepeared once in the past in the article area on sangham.net, copy them and replace the raw html.txt  with text only on ati.eu would be also useful.

Schönes (in jeder Hinsicht) Stück Arbeit. Keine Spezialkenntnisse in allen Bereichen erforderlich.

Content:

The lists contain the links to the certain Sutta maintained here on sangham.net, generously translated into English and provided by Ven. Sister Uppalavanna. The blue underlined "|§..|" link leads to the external resource of tipitaka.org (Vipassana Research Institute) and will open a new tab in your browser. Note that the anchor leads to the first paragraph of the Sutta and in the case it might not work (the anchors are put under the reference "name" which is not supported by all html versions) just go to the command line of your browser and click enter, so it would move to the certain place. The additional numbering SN.... i|s reclined on the PTS counting system, but not made even and coherent yet.

Ich habe Probeweise zwei Vaggas angelegt:

1. Rūpādivaggo [en]

 Translation Tipitaka, Ven. Sister Uppalavanna

A great challenge with a lot of freedom and much responsibility, a gift which is headed for groth. I guess slowliy, with concern, with increasing knowledge and necessary flair, it is more then worthy to take on the duty and make the best use of it so that it does not lead just to a museum of storage place. As always are the hazard the measures, which are needed to be overcome.

'm very pleasant. Mudita.

 :)

Thanks for making aware.

I am not interested in great challenges and much responsibility and duties. I think I have already taken up far too much. That was once more said prematurely: I'll do that. Sorry. In best case I could do it like a cowherd , and would not know any better.

Venerable Bhante Mettavihari,

my friend Johann has already done some preparatory work for integrating the Ven. Sister Upalavanna's sutta translations on the website zugangzureinsicht.org.

In order to conform with the wishes and intentions of Sister Upalavanna, as you mentioned, he has already sketched a "publisher's note" that should be displayed at the bottom of each of the offered sutta translations' pages, as follows:

    Publisher's note

This translation is generously given by the author, Ven. Sister Uppalavanna, as a Dhamma-Dana gift. You are free to use this translation for skillful purposes as you wish. In the case you like to change the content, the author kindly asks you to remove her name from the alteration so that nobody could get confused. Anumodana!

    Bhikkhu Mettavihari
    Editor of metta.lk
(On behalf of Ven. Sister Uppalavanna's intention)

You can see how it looks on the web page along with the rest of the copyright/dana information here, at the example of the Dukkhata Sutta (AN 5.157): http://zugangzureinsicht.org/html/tipitaka/an/an05/an05.157.upal_en.html, when you click on "more" at the bottom of the page.

It would be good if you could tell us whether you agree with this suggested display and the wording of this publisher's note, or if you would like to change it and use your own words.

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards

_/\_

Moritz

So, it is alright. Thanks once more to Bhante Mettavihari.

Of course I think it is good to include the information about the request by Sister Uppalavanna.

Yes, collecting for a museum. Nothing else what I'm doing here, losing all sense of direction for the rest of my worldly life.

May all have some peace of mind and remember there's life outside the internet.

I would start slowly working on integrating the rest of the translations by Sister Upalavanna from metta.lk.

I think it will take some time.

Before integrating them into the site's index, I think it is good to wait for a reply to this e-mail:

Freu mich. Mudita.

Mudita.

Note: I had already integrated the sutta with the suffix "upal", without seeing that it was already done with "uppa". I think "uppa" is better, as I think "Uppalavanna" is the correct spelling.

_/\_

Moritz
