Some words on it:

On the walk back from Wat Arkyum to Aural (April 2020), my person thought of short visiting the Ashram Kīrī Gorora, the Venerable, who currently dwells here at Thmo Duk , reported as his most frequented dwelling.

Coming from the south through the mountain valley, it's not far cross the fields from the mainroad, maybe 5km along the mountain foot. After a short visit of another monastery on a hill (kiri), the walk went on an two massive Buddhist flags already gave signs of the "castle"-like ways of this branch, having monasteries often very alien to it's near environment, supported from far.

It's a nice and good organiced small monastery build around a small hill on the end of a dam, about 700m from a rice-farmer village, between the paddies and near the mountains foot.

At this time about 6, 7 Venerables (all ages, Bhikkhus, Samanera) spend there time there, modest, seclude, far up behind walls. It has about 10 small Kuties and a large Sala.

Monks there mainly get daily their food from lay peoples direct support. One lay person, from the near village lives at the monastery and helps with all needs. The Ashram isn't daily frequented and it's not far to go for alms in one of the 2,3 near villages. As more frequented by normal monasteries monks, it might need two days till switching to offer food and not usual often given, but the Buddhabodhisadas are familiar with proper ways as well.

The community dwells with less community activities and all follow their iwn practice.

The Abbott, same birth year as my person, is very compassionate, open and welcoming. There is a related "Tudong-monastery" about 8-10km North, "Ashram Prey Sway", founded by the same two Venerables.

Vinaya is fine and a very pleasing place in a small community (as far as observed in the 2,3 days visit).
