Addiction, depending on 'drugs', relaying on 'drugs', bond to harmful, one acts impure, corrupt.
And what are the heavy 'drugs' beings are bond to?
Form is a the drug of eye-consciousness, sound is the drug of ear-consciousness, smell... taster... touch... bodyly touch is a drug of body-consciousness.
And the lighter, but more firm drug: ideas are the drug of mind-consciousness.
Andwho ever has neither firm faith, nor reason-able understood the effects of drugs, the reason, the freedom from drugs, the path leading to freedom of drugs, is still object for low realms, capable to kill his parents, Arahats, split good community, grave wrong views.
While, if having faith, or arrived by reasoning, that beings are that addicted, one has gone secure not to fall down, is bound to see it by oneself before dying.
A person seen drug-dependency has become a person of integrity, heading toward complete release of additions within maximum 7 further lives.
Beings, bond to sensuality, taking objects of the five senses as real, are bond to corruption, what ever trying, are incapable to act proper, unfree and slaves pushed around by the giver, the sense.
