Bhnom Nāgarāja Vihāra Sāmaggī, the mountain west of modern "Mount Meru (https://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=9643.0)", the sphere of the Naga-Kings protecting the Dwelling of the Devas and Brahmas, Bhnom Oral.

Nyom Nimol asked for leave yesterady evening and guided visiting Monk generously toward decided destiny early in the morning, assisted by Nyom Chanroth.

Upasaka Sukhavipula followed another time on alms round, after talk on Dhamma in the morning. Back, Atma walked another time into the village to collect thrown away leaf parts of coconut trees so to make brooms. Also done a short visit at Village chef's house to inform about the dangers of massive cutting on the house near mountain.

Upasika Villa s children carried the selected up and the assisted in broom making. As a stranger wood cutter suddenly died in the village, Nyom, Nyom, after some painting works, went down to join the merits of the funeral fest.

Evening longer talk on Dhamma and at least encouragement to make the outwardly gift of a pleasing, silent, shiny night to an auspicious one by developing the path.

Upasika Villa and Vilana spended the night outside on the rock as well a Bhante spended the night on Anapanasati in the forest.

A talk on Dhamma in the morning, back from alms, Atma thought good to go up the montain to see how the villagers spend the day of the Rabbit in the moon, when once the Bodhisatta sacrificed his own body to give it toan ascetic dwelling in the forest...

In the last days they had cut down around 100-200 trees on the montain above the Ashram which they sell as fence post, one maybe 2$... next to having set a lot of traps to catch deers and other animals.

Atma thinks it's possible time towalk on and leave all behind, as people just like to go after demerits and would just do more if dwelling next shameless people, not fearing any evil deeds.

Atma, after back, thought good to go down to visit the village chief and to tell him that it would not be proper for a disciple of the Buddha to live knowingly on alms from people who are stealing wood and animals from the King and his minister.

Upasika Villa wished to follow. Short visiting the "Deva-family" as village chef wasn't seen, he later arrived at his home.

Speaking very clear and open, he stressed out to be not a little involved and does not like to know anything about the huge wood stealing in his area. He also told that he has no power at all in that regard, even not for protecting the houses or anything on the foot of the mountain.

Telling Nyom that certain officers are in charge of such and telling her to tell them, he later, as he had seen the pictures of the villagers, all relatives, told: "No, as I know who does, having seen the pictures, I have to go right now and tell them to stop."

While sitting there about, in only 10min about 10 motor cows full will stolen wood crossed in front of his house. "Here see, what should I do?", he told. "they sell it down in the south..."

He actually was very nervous, yet, of course without any real power, fearinga lot his reputation, especially in regard that somebody whould tell he does not like to have monks dwelling.

It was certain not pleasing for all, yet as he himselft told as well: "If you don't stop them right now, they wouldn't listen and go on even further."

May the village fathers children be able to follow the goodness and advices of their parents. Yet surely, it might be that most even more stop to do alms, as some might have had the thought "If giving alms to monks, then it would be ok to steal and hunt animals". do intentional harmfull and endanger themselves...

For now Atma turns over the bowl at the houses known as stealing wood and hunt animals, as far as he knows, has seen and knows that not seeing a fault, wishing for non-resistance of those abstaining from harm but prefer to destroy the habit, burn all down.

So it's good possible, yet not for sure, haven as well received again the invitation of the Village chief to resist, wether people will turn to good or not, and yes, of course, will prefer to walk on if there is no base of goodness but just greed and un-virtues left.

How ever, it was good to make that clear and tell to possible leave if there is no change. May people that seek in what ever left behind material happiness they like and/or give it to those who prefer to live on trade, maybe helping them cutting and deposit stolen things, like most monks and monasteries live under such agreement...

But that isn't right at all and better to even starve as to receive impure and binding gifts, trade, at least walk on then, which doesn't mean to limit any of the huge generosity done for many years, about 10.000 times giving into alms bowls, seldom to be found any where in this world.

Sadhu and mudita

Nevetheless, two years ago, they still followed the tradition of the Rabbit in the moon, but now it's all gone, the culture destroyed by marxism and anarchy, where all think "I have a right", no need to make sacrifice, better to take before other take.

Soon they will have lost everything, and if lucky working on the field of big companies, without land, without culture, having just low entertainments and drugs as their last refuge.

Indeed unique the uprightness and fearlessness of Upasika Villa , not to speek of sacrifices toward the Gems.

Following the advice of the village chief, Nyom stopped at the head office of the ranger (environment-protection unite) where every singe load of wood crosses daily, to report the matter of cutting the forest on the Naga-mountain above the Ashram.

The officers, so told, where very surprised to hear about such (the whole stuff there usually very happy to do sacrifices when ever Atma crosses on alms), and told that they will look after it quickly.

May people get most support to change their livelihhods into harmlessness, turn to virtue and gain heavens, long live, beauty, happiness and strength by following the Khema, safe, secure path, soon, before no more chances anymore left.

Jara Sutta: Old Age

How short this life!
You die this side of a century,
but even if you live past,
   you die of old age.

People grieve
for what they see as mine,
for    nothing possessed is constant,

Seeing this separation
   simply as it is,
one shouldn't follow the household life.

At death a person abandons
what he construes as mine.
Realizing this, the wise
shouldn't incline
to be devoted to mine.

Just as a man doesn't see,
   on awakening,
what he met in a dream,
even so he doesn't see,
when they are dead
   — their time done —
those he held dear.

When they are seen & heard,
people are called by this name or that,
but only the name remains
to be pointed to
   when they are dead.

Grief, lamentation, & selfishness
   are not let go
   by those greedy for mine,
so sages

   seeing the Secure,

A monk, living       withdrawn,
enjoying a dwelling    secluded:
   they say it's congenial for him
   he who wouldn't, in any realm,
      display self.

Everywhere
   the sage
      independent
holds nothing dear or undear.

   In him
lamentation & selfishness,
like water on a white lotus,
   do not adhere.

As a water bead on a lotus leaf,
as water on a red lily,
   does not adhere,

   so the sage
   does not adhere
to the seen, the heard, or the sensed;

   for, cleansed,
   he doesn't construe
   in connection
with the seen, the heard, or the sensed.

   In no other way
does he wish for purity,
for he neither takes on passion
   nor puts it away.[2]

Instead of the last deer around, vistiting the Linga a mouth ot two ago visited (https://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=2375.msg28730#msg28730), luckily just Atma stepped into on of possible many layed out traps...
The villager already lost one foot, but still prefers to work on losing the second as well by cutting it of himself, with chain-saws and traps... people don't see cause and effects when eating their hunts, gains in a self-destructing way.

Proper to let the Nagarajadeva-Vihara be build by virtuous people of the village and Srok, and a walking path, stairway, replanted trees along, up from the Vissakamma (Siva) -image at the village hall.

There is no way to use alms - giving with the idea of bribery, but corrupted families might think so, or do it like sacrifices toward pigs.

As there is no regard for parents, father, leader of the clan, rejecting ofany authority aside of Mara, no more faith in virtue and generosity, no regard for Brahmans and Samanas, but preference to further steel for the Gods, preference to sell off old culture, Nissaya does no more exist, fallen away from the lineage, following the world and coomon low, Atma will finish the rest of works not finished, the next 1-3 days and then go on the path.

The village chief had been informed about the leave and that villagers can take what ever they think that it was their investment then, or 'hire', buy one child pig giving blessings and receives bribery to use it as stall.

It's also improper to receive alms in the wild occupied by robbers and thieves, and direct neighbor. Yet still some good gone forth might have possibility to dwell short for those making use of lasting Upanissaya.

Otherwise all of the high merits would be wasted, if looking after degenerated children. May they find the way to lasting happiness by themselves with ease.

Half an hour ago two young inexperienced rangers, new here, came up, rather fearfull, and asked where there is cutting of forest, asking way.

Atma told them thats good for the community to care, but no need at all for the monks and the shrine, as just on finishing and walking on.
Then guiding them up till the paths of the hunter and cutter, so that they now can follow the noise of chain saws, Atma left them go on as they feel fine, to return to left work.

Again, there is no need to hold on, no need to dispute, no need to limite the huge merits done by so many deeds everywhere, just time to go on, once seeing it's a path back.

Atma didn't went for alms today, let Bhante Khemakumara know which houses not proper to receive alms for now, as working for lose and not-dwelling of monks, not seeing faults in taking from Kings, fathers, gone forth's remote dwelling.

After short time he returned and Upasaka Hong and wife came up as well, giving some tonics, having also filled his bowl.

After taking meal, Nyom Chanroth , wife and son came up as well. Boy, the dog, currently very sick, after a fight, and very weak, suffering deathly pains, just send his girlfriend, who just go first children.

Nyom Hong asked to visit the mountain hill, having seemingly organized a larger meeting of village chief, ranger, military police and those interested in good protective undertaking to work for peace at the heart of the Khmer-children, on the protective mountain west of Mount Oral.

Leading him up, still some cutted and transported wood, but soon silent for the first time. The visit of ranger couldn't stop the hunter and cutter yesterday.

Half way his wife stopped as more difficult to walk. Reaching the near top and the "stone Vihara" under the peak, he was most impressed of the larg suffering the people take on to carry heave logs for fence post, even if having lost a leg already. One 50-80 kg, normal people could not even lift of what they carry up and down the difficult way.

Thought to be maybe able to encourage to make a pleasing stairway up and to build a Brasat dedicated to the Nagadevaking and ancestory, while at same time protecting the most beautiful remote mountain area in the heart of the 1993 sacrificed Wild life protection park, which leaded to peace at this time for the whole country, he let Atma know about their inspiration.

Encouraged to always give the leader and parents support and to never split communities by supporting individual interest within families children, to see Sila as the cause of peace, they joyfully exchange of whom not to forget, including the Village priest and clansman who has direct bonds to the villages wifes, as woman are the real chiefs, back to Neang Soma.

Before leaving Upasaka Hung asked Atma not to leave and stay, of what Atma can followalways as long as it neither would require to take part on corruption, to dwell in areas where people aren't happy to have not corrupt dwell, and as long as there is faith and wish of all around, no cause of split or unskilful burden for any.

Informed that it's good and required to care about one's community, a matter of duty, as well informed that there is nothing to worry about monks, as they have feets and an alms bowl, and should never nourish conflict in communities they have left already.

Joyfully they then returned, to meet each other down in the land.

Just reading Suttas two higher rangers approached at the Ashram. Venerated, they informed that they are looking for the ways people use to transport wood down to the village, wishing to find the tracks by them self.
Informed about the various ways, they offered to also directly contact in cases wood cutting appears. Appreciated the care and offer, Atma told them that it wouldn't be really proper for monks to do "police", but that it is good if all help each other toward good ways for real prosperity.

Atma told them also that Buddhaparisada look for "win-win" ways, to possible give work and livelihood by building up a stairway on the old wood track and a temple when people are willing to go after good alternatives. As well about the soon danger from the deforested mountain next the houses and soil, rock and land slights soon to arise.

They then left, taken a look around, telling to look further for themselves with their unit.

Today possible the first day of no cutting and no wood transport around the Naga mountain.

Just as the Dhammik guardians gained a small victory over themselves (https://forum.sangham.net/index.php?topic=10845.msg29820#msg29820) instead of seeking to "help", having left up, a unit of ranger appeared from the Ashram.

Having venerated, exchanged greatings, they informed that they just made their way through the village to encourage all stopping to cut wood on the Naga mountain.

Further, their leader, asked Atma, to call him as soon as sound of chain saws are heard. Approving the intention of the offering Atma explained them that it wouldn't be proper for one gone forth doing "police" nor to take on refuge or rights.

Understood that there is, was, never any harm at the Ashram and that all highly respect the place and practice, that it's about their own communities welfare to look after last refuge places of extinction facing being, small and huge, Devas Gods, Sublime, after taking some pictures, nevertheless saved the number in the tablet of the place, asking again, they then, encouraged to help each other in good ways and never harm each other, rejoicing and exhausted, they returned down.

After good two weeks huge effort of many Devas, to provide a pleasing dwelling, people had started to cut a transport way from the north side up the mountain peak the last days, from the north stream cross, and are now, since three days again on cutting the top of the Naga mountain off.

So the leader of the ranger wished to get informed whenever chain saw noise is heard, Atma told Upasaka, Upasika, about the case, and Nyom had forwarded the case yesterday.

While it's of course always possible that things change again, as nothing is for sure, the over all amount of destruction and logging has a strong downward tendency, compared 6,7 years ago and now.

Of course it has to do with the fact that the most valuable trees had been cut away, meaning that it will take minimum 50 years again, for such havest. Important is to take care on the "children" not burning them away and using off, because thinking no more luxury wood in this world. When the though of such arises, "No sages in this world", then those still present, but unseen, young, will be disappearing in the burning off of all merits.

Higher authorities haven't blocked anything, yet might have put on proves. It's good the build dwelling for Gods and ask them to stay, not to speak of Noble Ones or even Arahats.

The is still lot to do till reaching up to the place of the old Nāgarājadeva - Vihāra, the dwelling of the Protector of the host of Brahmas in this world of wonders.
