The second fire from west fight day.

Right after meal Bhante fought the fire which had come already to his kuti, while Atma tried to extinguish the front next the nuns hill. 200m done, only 10m left, end of power. Back, cooling burned body, informed Nyom, Nyom, that soon the fire will effect the neighboring plantage and village, Nyom Vilā and possible others, tried to get help from authorities, but like most ignored.

Lacking man-power, Nyom could then organize Neighbor Chhim, who the came with two helpers. Now with much power, in lesser the an hour, they extinguish the fire at Thmo Duk, only 30m from the buildings and grass lands and potatoes of the neighbor. If only ten minutes later, once the high grass would have started to burn, houses and good 50-100ha plantage would have been destroyed, as impossible to extinguish this.

Now after some inspection turns and fine extinguish, it seems as if the helper would have done a great task, helping neighbor (although he will not be aware) not to lose good $50.000 by the act.

All exhausted, but certain and rightly glad to have done whats proper and good, Nyom organized even to bring up tonics, since longer no more sugar and of course no storing, and Bhante, less nutrition, much bodily engaged, day &night, the last days.

[៧៣] ម្នាលគហបតិបុត្ត មិត្តអាមាត្យជាទិសខាងជើង កុលបុត្ត​ ត្រូវប្រតិបត្តិ​ដោយ​ស្ថាន​​៥​យ៉ាងគឺ ដោយការឲ្យរបស់១ ដោយការនិយាយតែពាក្យគាប់ចិត្ត១ ដោយការប្រព្រឹត្តិ ឲ្យជាប្រយោជន៍១ ដោយការប្រព្រឹត្តិខ្លួនស្មើ១ ដោយការមិនកុហកបញ្ឆោត១។ ម្នាលគហបតិបុត្ត មិត្តអាមាត្យជាទិសខាងជើង ដែលកុលបុត្ត​ប្រតិបត្តិ​ដោយស្ថាន៥យ៉ាងនេះឯងហើយ រមែងអនុគ្រោះកុលបុត្ត ដោយ​ស្ថាន​​៥យ៉ាង គឺ រក្សាមិត្តដែលធ្វេសប្រហែស១ ជួយថែទាំទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិ របស់មិត្ត​ដែលធ្វេស​ប្រហែស១ ជាទីពឹងរបស់មិត្តដែល​មានភ័យ១ មិនបោះបង់​គ្នាក្នុងគ្រា​វិបត្តិ១ រាប់អាន​រហូត​ដល់ផៅពង្សរបស់មិត្ត១។ ម្នាលគហបតិបុត្ត មិត្តអាមាត្យ ជាទិសខាងជើង ដែលកុលបុត្ត​ប្រតិបត្តិ ​ដោយស្ថាន៥យ៉ាង​នេះឯង​ហើយ រមែងអនុគ្រោះ​កុលបុត្ត ដោយ​ស្ថាន​៥យ៉ាងនេះ ទិសខាងជើងនោះ ដែលកុលបុត្ត​បានបិទបាំងហើយ ជាទិស​មានសេចក្តី​ក្សេម ឥតមានភយន្តរាយយ៉ាងនេះ។

“In five ways, young householder, should a clansman minister to his friends and associates as the North:

(i) by liberality,
(ii) by courteous speech,
(iii) by being helpful,
(iv) by being impartial,
(v) by sincerity.

“The friends and associates thus ministered to as the North by a clansman show compassion to him in five ways:

(i) they protect him when he is heedless,
(ii) they protect his property when he is heedless,
(iii) they become a refuge when he is in danger,
(iv) they do not forsake him in his troubles,
(v) they show consideration for his family.

“The friends and associates thus ministered to as the North by a clansman show their compassion towards him in these five ways. Thus is the North covered by him and made safe and secure.
