Atma guesses that hardly any commune has so often and frequently press. Reality shows well how less rules and how much "merits" influence things. The large caterpiller was driving up in the north about a week ago in the morning.
Actually the whole valley in th sanctuary, and the mountain foots, as far tractor reaches ~25 km2 (2.500ha) has already be cleared the last 4 years. Wood-cuter have to ride since longer deep into Prusat Province, if not cutting on Phnom Oral.

There is much reason to look after no more return.

If taking the whole sanctuary, maybe 40-50% are already in privat use and largely cleared. Original untouched forest might be 10% left.

សត្វព្រៃ, Beings living in the forest, actually include Devas, Yakkha, Arahats, good following monks, hermits, those generally worthy of gifts, traditional and by wise high regarded, worshipped, honored, the protector of humans at large.

People are total not aware of whom they harm since it's like torture and kill ones parents. The effects are already and will be very, very painful for many and generations. As for where forest disappears, enviroment is destroyed, the Sasana, good, vanishes and will be gone.

As e whole huge valley as already be cleared and occupied, total deforested, people of course do not make use of the land, and if high 5-10% is used for merely poor plantations, people at large are now on the mountains around, and huge cutting of trees is going on. Even in dangerous areas near settlements, where soon rock-fallings can be expected.
Land, since people here actually have 20 times more then they would ever use, is just left for specualtion and expensive selling.

As there was a pause of cutting trees in Sanctuary in the first month because of deforestation efforts and build in the valley, malaria was strong reduced till now, but will soon asise in very huge dimenson (not at least because there are extreme more and new developed species and far more beings of all kind because of extreme rains of the past), spreading since years from here, mountains here being the center of damage and effects of disease speading even around the globe incl. the current "plages".

Wildfires will be even more extrem and effecting settlements this year, not only because of the left over branches, but because most land is now grass land, soon dry and then quick and extreme connective burning huge areas.

It's simply a self-destructing ignorance that people make suffering more and more.

Having thoughtless and uncontrolled cleared further huge areas of old mountain area foresr, the large rains, very huge rauns, will not only sweep away all nutrition and the some half hearted planted fruits but flood the lower lands in ways nt kown before. May people come fast to mind and stop this war of endless greed. For only lose is the gain of greed.

While seldom a day when no hunters gunfires are hecho through the vally, the whole valleys flat are is already deforested within only 3 years, tractors go on to clear further up the mountains, some offical reports of what's destroyed as last resort, not only of Devas and Gods in the heart of SE Asia, but more catchable by cameras:

...As Cambodia marked National and World Environment Day celebrations on June 5, the Ministry of Environment announced sightings of some rare animals in Cambodia’s forests through the use of automatic cameras.

This year’s World Environment Day was observed with the theme “Biodiversity and Human Health”.


The ministry said cameras placed in Phnom Oral Wildlife Sanctuary in Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang and Pursat provinces have revealed the ongoing presence of many rare species.

According to the ministry’s spokesman Neth Pheaktra, some of the animals caught on camera included elephants, clouded leopards, bears and deer.


Pheaktra said the images were captured from May 29 to June 4 after months of preparation, adding that besides those animals there were rare, endangered and threatened species such as banteng, monkeys, leopards, yellow tigers and golden pigs.

Pheaktra said some of the most endangered and threatened wildlife, such as Asian elephants and clouded leopards, were also photographed walking in herds or with young offspring.

“The sighting of rare wildlife in our sanctuaries is the best news for Cambodia, especially one day ahead of celebrations for Environment Day, which this year focuses on the restoration of ecosystems,” he said....

...as for "restoration", Sila, not taking, helps much more and does not hurt on other side again, as giving, meaning stopping unwise and harmful ways and let others go on their way as wished, is quite better in direction peace. There is already enough destroyed and useless occupied land for those seeking happiness in wishing to control by machines and destructive means.

2,3 years ago still old hidden forests. Cut and cleared as high as avalible machines reach... and as bonus 'present' for all being, getting burned so that wind and water will soon care all old merits away... destruction of the heartbase, the source of water and air to breath.

Heavy street building machines headed another time up to cut main strains of cancer into the empires heart and lung, leaving overrolled death animals behind on the street and cutters following up as well in the main destruction time.

 While many deer used to live around, they already had disappeared this year, died by hunters guns, fires and snares if not escaped for temporary time.

~ 3.000ha old forest totaly gone in the heart of the Khmer-land.

Seemingly currently clearing the oldest protected large low land forest, where a Monk used to long time defend the area. Located about 7km south, near a tourist waterfall.
