People denying goodness and/or don't know how to pay back and toward whom, simple run crazy and after a while into all kinds of amok.

2023 Jun 21 14:32:05
blazer: It is hard to practice here. I'm in a place where i can get virtually anything in just a few minutes. And ads and distractions are everywhere. And people are so defiled so i have to carefully calibrate social interactions.

2023 Jun 21 13:44:56
Johann: It's not possible to gain Dhamma as long holding stand, home. Once elevating above sensuality, clearance can be gained.

2023 Jun 21 13:20:27
blazer: I'm sorry but i'm not understanding perfectly. How can i ask him for the best further way if he is not reachable directly? And what is meant by "best further way"?  _/\_ _/\_ _/\_

blazer: Bhante Johann  _/\_ _/\_ _/\_

2023 Jun 20 17:42:55
Johann: Btw., if your Noble teacher might be no more in reach directly, once you make an effort toward the Brahmas, devoted to the Gems, you might get the chance to ask him about the best further way (note that an Noble Brahma, of cource, would serve lazy or not serious approaches).

2023 Jun 20 17:16:43
Johann: Some may wonder why the Sublime Buddha heavily rebuked monks when they teached the Dhamma of the Ariya, to those not prepeared yet... Once people have gained this Dhamma in wrong way or at wrong time, without favor toward renouncing and or Samvega, they are hardly ever able to gain it right, mostly closed up the door by their unwise ways and approach.

Yet less would take on occasion, preferring collecting for a stand, house, when ever access and feeling 'worthy' of it.

blazer: Checked time ago, i've seen somewhere translated as a person which is kind of equanimous, or something similar, as far as i can remember. Not finding the webpage right now

2023 Jun 03 15:28:13
Moritz: I think it's related to k'nyom (speaking out the "k" here), which means "I" and is used in normal colloquial language to speak of oneself. So not really sure how this relates to "former relative" etymologically.

2023 Jun 03 15:25:56
Moritz: I think "nyom" means something like "former relative", generally used by monks to address laypeople. Not really sure about the meaning in detail and where it could else be used. :)

Nissaya: dependency, support, relation, teacher
« on: October 02, 2022, 02:42:23 PM »
Depending on one's teacher, one either gains possibility to go beyond dependency or trapped in what ever bond.

Fearing this danger of corrup lineages, the Sublime Buddha took the matter of giving and choosing dependency very seriously, also in regard of falling away from it.

Yet the matter, like all gains, is a "seek duty" and not at all a "bring duty". Other than common believe, community, Sangha, naturally doesn't serve as Nissaya in a benefical and also liberating manner.

And when has one gained liberating Nissaya?

Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammā-sambuddhassa

2. Nissayasuttaṁ

Supportive condition

[001.02] Then a certain bhikkhu approached The Blessed One, … re … sat on a side and said:

“Venerable sir, it is said, is endowed with supportive conditions. How far is a bhikkhu endowed with supportive conditions?”

“Bhikkhu, the bhikkhu supported by faith too, dispels demerit and develops merit, by that his demerit gets dispelled. Bhikkhu, the bhikkhu supported by shame too, … re … remorse too, … re … effort too, … re … wisdom too, he thoroughly dispels demerit as he dispels seeing with the noble one's wisdom and dispels.

Bhikkhu, the bhikkhu established in these five things should abide supported on four things. What four?

Here, bhikkhu, the bhikkhu discriminating pursues a certain thing, discriminating patiently bears a certain thing, discriminating avoids a certain thing and discriminating drives out a certain thing. Bhikkhu, thus the bhikkhu is endowed with the supportive conditions.

Not easy to find suitable Nissaya for one not firm in the above.

"Ironical" both, the western Punk-monks as well as the "right-wing"-left-monks deny that there is such as lineage, nissaya, necessary for an proper existence of a Sangha in this world, somehow thinking they can create all for them anews, having google and common creatives and copy-stolen as they "valid" foundation.

It seems to be merely impossible to heal the wounds and harm those who haven't left their former stands, home, had done toward the Gems.

It's total clear that the revolutionary motivated undertaking of a modern/western reformation of Sangha has naturally totally failed and what ever still seems to run, runs simply like a body full of cancer in it's last state.

Not a single act-able Sangha with intact basic right view and virtues can be traced.
