Btw... Nyom Moritz told in the evening that he might maybe not fly back on 3. July, (Atma told because of good cigarette and coffee supply)... possible stay longer. Atma told "Cetana minteang" (Intention isn't for sure) in Khmer of what he understood. And because of that, one should follow even the smallest kusala intention, go after it, not thinking long, as seldom to arise and quick gone.

Let's see how things are tomorrow.

Sadhu, Sadhu... out of any reason all pictures of merits today are gone, except this (while renaming):

Nyom Moritz told that there are 5 bags cement at the foot, a pipe was left here, Nyom Chanroth reported that he could find his next neighbor to transport sand, but not thinking that it will happen today and if fast he might be able to make 3 loads on one day.

Nyom Vithou arrived wirh his wife and friend of family in the early afternoon. Atma had delayed the making of roof for today already. They came up together with Nyom Chanroth and his stepsons, met Nyom Moritz who was on carrying of bricks, as Nyom Chanroth brought all material in front of his house up before noon. Then all of them carried their gifts of water, drings... up and later also some bags of bricks.

All exhausted, Nyom Chanroth and children went back, listened Dhamma on Dana vs. Sila, requirement of Samagi and care of ways of others, the reallity and burden of generosity, benefits of giving own and disadvantage of using others for what one desires.

As they thought to go back, 5 young people came up, guided by a novice from the south monastery, in cera
tain cool manner, low hair, short cloth.... At the same time strong storm came up and the sky became dark on this pleasing sunday. Atma asked them: "Why did you come here? And why did you bring rain with you?" "We are on freetime walk around (for fun), we don't know why rain comes..." All busy to bring themself and things in security while branches started to fall down, they stepped back and after 10 minutes they came again, each carry bags of bricks up. Having changed their mind to a kusala, the wind stopped and althought dark around, sun shine felt back on the Ashram.

Later they came near again, sat down and got politely engaged, involved in talks on Dhamma. The leader was a Sissa of monks for 10 years, usually way to get a place to live in the city to study, had just visited a befriended Sila-nun in a cave in Battambang, and somehow they came to speak about Aural and he decided to look after the monk/monks he had heard of, taking his friends with him.

All more than excited, left about 4 o'clock.

Often people ask how things are build here, who works... and mostly Atma tells them "Exactly in the way you did. How did this bag bricks came up here. Because of goodness, own effort, Sila, thing grow here, and only in this way, not by trade or management."

If one askes "Who build thing at Thmo Duk", there is only one correct answer: Goodness, punna kusala, builded. Prove it and you will see for your self that no one did it but a huge gathering of goodness and touching others with that.

All suddenly full with stuff and material, Nyom Moritz wanted to continue carrying, having been given loads of cigarettes and coffee, certain afraid that his "slave-task" might be done by others. No, he was very astonished how things can run out sometimes, "nice accidentally", as he said, which of cause isn't but just effect of cause.

Now enough material to cause oneself further Dukkha, transporting further, up, prepair, build, later maintain it... for now my person thinks that health knocks a little louder and will take a earlier rest again.

Two days ago there was a funeral-fest in the night... a group caught certain fishes and eat them, in the south, the direction Atma avoids merely to go for alms, all of them poisened by the fishes, two man, dog and many chicken died, others could be treaded healthy again.

One of them was actually no unknown. He used to work for two of the east neighbors, the nudle restaurant owner and the judge, relatives. He was a poor all day drunkward, donig everything to get some of alcohol and was not only used to cut the trees and dig out huge roots, but also to catch ale like fishes found on this land, dig after them and kill them to sell. Not once Atma told the Brahmans not to use others from bad deeds.

He was, how ever, a very devoted person, also not only once giving some alms and even listening attentive some Dhamma. Visited even the Ashram. May he find soon good association, goid friends, where ever he might now have been fallen to.

There are btw. three layers of old cement floor. The first, oldest, is made with broken stones and cement, no sand, the second, propably from Ven. Ta Ung's beginning times here is only cement without aggregats, only the last layer, made by the village priest contains much sand and was made with a lot of water. So it's certain traditional nissaya to lack on sand support in the cave, using local avaliable, recycled.

It was good, even if always surely heavy, to speak very frank yesterday with Nyom Chanroth of what is all about, usefull, dangerous, and pointing on possible faults and dangers yesterday, and it more than praiseworthy how really all trust and be able to receive actually often not so pleasing words, normal people would fast grow angry for lifetimes. Sadhu!

The most proper, intented, way to continue:

The existing floor material and broken other material, will be used instead of sand for the new floor, fundation and north roof. No far transport needed and energy, paccaya, requires just a hand of rice.

What ever part of floor is removed and leveled finally, will then covered with new concrete in the late afternoon and so the sphere stays always a nice, clean and all time to leave behind well done and proper, since a next day is never sure. The soil is in use to bring up the level for the new part.

3, 4 days, as soon as strong iron is up, the building of the foundations will be started and then it will run quick. The walls will be made from the old wall, making some struction parts inbetween, for most and longlasting stability.

For the next two weeks only the already given material (bricks, iron), incl. the partly broken cement (four or five bags at Chanroth mothers house) need to be carried up.

Fine sand as additional aggregate to mix into the recycling material as well as for open pavements can be collected on more near forest paths.

In regard of the modle wood: telling that up to making the roof of the upper kuti today, Nyom Chanroth spontaniously told that he would desire to join with his stepson to do it tomorrow. Once all already generously carried up sand for the Kuti has beeb used, incl. the bricks there, the building material, wood and so on, can be carried down for use. So no need for any material from far or to organize in tading ways needed.

If someone wishes to join also bodily, the merits, best doing good useful working holiday (100 of small things, for each talent and tendency avaliable), if wishing to join with material, best to support the worker, who are keeping precepts and doing it with intention to sacrifices toward Sangha, with food, drinks, clothes and small needs for dwelling. No need and even discouraged, to make use of money. If wishing to organize cement, tools, small stuff needed, best to organize, bring, carry transport... for one self direct to the place where it should last finally, inviting while organizing, others to join the merits, and rejoice with it. No need to make use of others strength in addition, most harmless, most cooling, most meritorious and from the Uposatha of the Cow-wards to that of the Ariya, at the same time, taking fully part and leaving household for a while.

And, also importand: turning more from giving material more value and care, to care toward people and investment toward what is good for the mind: encouragement and learning to organize needed, to work, based on sila, care, and harmlessness: right view and metta, khemārammaṇa, seeing the product, material, just as a tool for training, which will be nice left behind soon for higher and beyond, at Khemāramme at Aural.

Still merely exhausted, little cold, Atma decided not to go for alms. Just as Nyom Moritz thought to go down to the village, Nyom Chanroth, thoughtful, brought up meal enough for two. As Anumodana he got an intensive talk on debts and that only "not cramping and not stopping" would be the only way. Cramping, holding on strong, one just turns arround, ever the same again, year for year, life for life. Stopping, althought often thought as easy escape, not free yet, is a garanted lane downwardly.

The rains may fill the forest-path with sand again... what ever brought up will flow down.

The tank isn't water-proof for now, will need another layer plaster and Nyom Moritz decided to look after using the avaliable pipe to lay it out for filling the plastic tank from here, so that not all water runs away and later other might worry again.

At large "rain-pause" and just small steps, one by one, with what is avaliable and can be done by oneself.
